I've not had any alcohol since last November. I haven't posted anything on social media about it as it's of no relevance. Sometimes I have a drink, sometimes I don't. And I would never write 'Sobriety never looked so good' or some such nonsense.
To me calling it 'sobriety' insinuates she's saying alcohol was a problem in which case why say it won't be forever? Or is she just being as thick as she normally is 😂😂😂

I don’t mean to sound awful and well done to her it is hard to kick a habit/problem. When I split up with my kids dad I used to have a glass of wine when they (kids) were asleep so that I could sleep but it started to creep up to 2 glasses then one night I drank a full bottle on my own and I thought tit I need to stop and I do think if I hadn’t nipped it in the bud it would have spiralled out of control. Don’t get me wrong I’d have a bottle and then some out with the girls when my kids weren’t around, I just mean it could have spiralled in the house if I didn’t stop when I did. But she needs to realise it’s a problem and not count milestones as ‘not stopping for good’ as she sound like she’s counting down until it’s long enough to start all over again, not judging at all just doesn’t seem like a healthy way to do it.
Professional help is the only way once it gets to a certain point if you’re not very strong willed or nip it in the bud.

Sorry for the essay!

They actually advise you to not say you are giving up for good if that's a trigger just giving up for now...it breaks it down and doesn't seem so impossible. Also for those saying 5 weeks isn't a worthwhile milestone it is if you have an issue with alcohol and she quite clearly has an issue with alcohol

Well said. Never say never. One hour at a time. I’m in recovery and that’s how I do it.

I totally get that and good luck to you with your continuing recovery ❤️
Five weeks is a massive achievement for someone in recovery. The thing I find odd is her saying it won't last forever though. Surely if she was admitting a problem and trying to deal with it she wouldn't have said that. I understand it's one hour/day at a time if someone is in recovery but surely the mindset is to give it up entirely eventually. The it won't last forever attitude she seems to be displaying seems a bit flippant

I find it strange that H is drinking around her if she Is struggling so much with being sober? Or is it all part of almost testing yourself to guarantee you can? I don't know much about recovery but hats off to you all as it must be hard. I just think I would struggle with my partner drinking it around me etc

I get the impression she isn’t saying she’s an alcoholic but has chosen not to drink to sort her weight & mental health out. I think using the term ‘sober’ confuses people as it’s usually a term associated with being an alcoholic. It also could be her on a ‘trend’ as a lot of influencers are choosing not to drink
Trying to get back in with Stacey and grinch seeing as they pretend not to drink and greedy and H turn up with loads of alcohol everytime they have a Business meeting Get together

Is she 5?
