Wtf does gifted by not sponsored even mean?
Clearly, she’s been commissioned to show herself in those swimmers.

She’s been given some swimwear and told to advertise them. What do you call that?

it would mean that they sent her product in hope for exposure / shout out but not actually pay her for her time / work. Ky obviously likes them and wants to keep it sweet to keep the gifts coming… she even did her “soooooo short hairrrrrrrr”.

I get what you’ve said, I just don’t buy it. She has how many on? And show casing each and every piece? She’s being paid for that.

I think she’s found a loop hole in that you can say you’ve been given the items to keep (gifted) and adding a not sponsored because it’s not.

That doesn’t mean she hasn’t been paid or given a commission from the sale. She has been paid. I bet she charged in 5 figures.

If you don’t think she’s declared it properly and that she’s actually getting paid, but said “not sponsored” you can submit a complaint to Ad Standards and outline your concerns. They may just determine that it’s obvious it’s an ad, but if she’s said “not sponsored” but is actually getting paid, that would likely be a breach. Just emphasise that you believe it’s more than a gift for whatever reasons. The company then has to provide a response outlining the relationship.

I think she probably gets a commission from the code every time it’s used, which might be why it’s a unique ‘Iknowkyree’ code. So she is ‘gifted’ the bathers and then receives commission from the each sale resulting from the discount code. There isn’t any direct payment for advertising the bathers or a “sponsorship“ deal, but she will certainly be receiving an income from the sales generated through the use of her code. She probably isn’t contractually required to show us the gifted bathers on SM, but if she wants the income from the code, then she it would make sense to concoct some content about them as context for her then sharing the generous code she negotiated for her her gawjus community.

i would be interested how the ATO views gifted products when it’s gifted to a influencer business. I was of the understanding that the monetary value had to be declared as income, but perhaps it’s only if the influencer sells the gifted product and makes a “monetary gain”? (I mean obviously I hope she wouldn’t sell second hand bathers, but for example all the gifted toys and household tatt she has received in the past would need to be declared as income if she sold it).

anyway ultimately she receives income for saying how much she loves the bum coverage of these bathers- it’s hardly an unbiased review.

Not sponsored doesn’t even matter. It’s clearly and ad and should be stated as such.

Yep she’s advertising the swimwear in exchange for a code that could possibly earn her money? The link too would earn a percentage from every sale via the clinked link.
Which is an advertisement.

It shouldn’t be legal to put those links on and not state they’re earning money. Every link should come with full transparency. Links and codes!

I couldn’t report it because it’s a general complaint about the truth and accuracy, which isn’t taken by ad standard. Which sucks.

Oh she’s just going to push Christmas back a month or two, isn’t she?

I know Christmas is a superficial holiday for most anyway, but even by that standard, she’s being bleeping ridiculous. Do the “traditions” matter, or is it all just for a cute, aesthetic photo? I guarantee none of the kids will *ever* give a tit that they’re missing the tree photo for 2022.

Girl needs therapy for how stuck on nostalgia she is. You and your kids will be so much happier if you learn to be present and live in the moment.

Has Kyree just stopped doing her care packages? I mean, they were pretty average anyway with random gifted items and coffee packets and those James eye patches, but she used to go on and on about how great she was for doing it. It always seemed super disingenuous.

oh yes I guess she has? It was purely for engagement purposes anyway so nowhere near as worthy of how sanctimonious she acted about it. Like I’m sure the recipients were grateful so it’s not all bad, but hardly for altruistic motives.
