I’m surprised Miriam could come into her instagram stories and confidently say the shooting that happened yesterday “wasn’t racial” None of us were there but the Gardaí have managed to apprehend other people with knives without shooting them fatally and wasn’t there a survey released recently where the Garda said they felt negatively about other races?
I can’t speak on the situation since I wasn’t there but not sure how it’s her right to say it wasn’t to do with race.

I’d say she will get a backlash over saying that then come out and apologise

I tried to post a screen recording but it wouldn’t let me. Are only photos allowed or does it just need to be a certain length? She was saying that the Gardaí shooting that man yesterday wasn’t racial. Her point was that people who assault people should go to jail in her opinion... Ok Miriam but he never got that far because five bullets were shot at hun in his garden! Outrageous to outright claim it’s not racist. You simply can’t rule it out.

Just saw Ross has posted as well. Did the three of them devise a press release or what? It all seems like unsubstantiated rumour too.

Pressured by who? I don’t think her argument this evening is going to do her any favours, she shouldve have kept quiet on this particular occasion in my opinion! None of us were there, none of us know the full story, paper doesn’t refuse ink and we’re only seeing what the media wants us to! I don’t have an opinion on it as I don’t know the full story but I do believe 12 guardí should’ve been able to de-escalate the situation without anyone being shot dead
