I find that people who leave SA tend to keep emphasising why they left SA, farm murders blah blah blah which are never as bad or as high or as racially motivated as people say. I also get my info from actual statistics 😉 South Africa is a beautiful and amazing country, you just have to keep your wits about you. And I’ve seen how those right wing conspiracy Irish twitter pages go on and on about farm murders and white genocide. There’s always an agenda to push, especially by people who’ve left the country because they’ve felt it’s become so dangerous, they really like to emphasize that. But that’s just not the daily reality.

Ok, I get your point. I wasn't trying to deter people from visiting, I think it's a fabulous country and can't wait to go again :) Just tourists need to have their wits about them a lot more than if they were visiting a standard European country. By the way, I don't follow the conspiracy pages and obviously I hear stories from people who still live there, not just those who have left.

Anyway, back to Miriam

I have only (unfortunately) discovered these Insta people through this page. This one Miriam makes my skin crawl the most, mainly as I see a lot of younger self in her. A total wallflower, no charisma due to crippling insecurity and low self esteem. tit hair, no dress sense and afraid to even be a tiny bit alternative due to caring what people think. Shown with clinging into her teens in her videos.

Thankfully I escaped that way of living/thinking/being when I got over 30s. I am baffled as to why she is putting herself out there like she is, dull as ditchwater!!
 
Can’t believe she’s still in the same clothes as she wore on the flight she’s home hours now.. first thing I need to do after a flight (never mind a long haul one with transfers) is to get out of them sweaty clothes into a shower wash my hair and get into nice comfy pjs! Airports and planes are disgusting pre covid but even more so now 🤢

She's like these dumb-dumbs who assume if they're outside but nowhere near another soul (besides the bf) then she's perfectly acceptable to do so. Like no isolation means bleeping isolating yourself from everyone, in doors, do the days until you reach test day then wait for your result. bleeping tool.

Slightly off topic here but this new strain in SA is it the same as the british one or does that mean we now have 6 strains to fight against?

I’m in SA, from what I understand the new strain originated here and went to the UK (we have a lot of people moving between the two countries)
