People like Melanie only say that type of stuff about “X should be taught in schools” so that she can’t be blamed for her children not growing up with basic life skills.

Honestly what part does a school play in teaching children how to have a successful relationship?? That’s not something anyone can teach, it’s learned by experience and even then not everyone does. A lot of the stuff they claimed should be taught in school is just called growing up.
 
I just cringe when Mel’s trad wife beliefs show through. Complaining about being taught algebra in schools but not being taught how to raise a child 🤢
And I remember personal finance taught in junior cert business. It’s more likely teenage Melanie just didn’t pay attention to being taught budgets and mortgages

She’s completely insane. Teachers have enough to be doing teaching English and history, maths and languages etc. If I thought time had been taken away from these subjects to teach my daughter about breastfeeding I would quite frankly consider it a colossal waste of time.

Classical subjects are super important. They contribute to a literate, educated human that can look at the world and make educated assessments. They introduce you to a world of books, not just Harry Potter. Languages open the world up beyond the immediate ( there’s life beyond skerries head) . Religion in most schools was an hour a week and nowadays focuses on more social and personal development than catechism. History teaches you about the struggle that has gone into creating our modern world. It teaches of the struggle of women and why it is important that we have choices that allow us to act in our own self interest. If she had spent an hour in biology she might have some grasp of science that wasn’t “vaccines are out to get me personally” and maths would teach her to actually be able to look at numbers, statistics and averages and see them for what they are.

The only person to blame for her ignorance is herself, because she has made a whole personality out of being ignorant.

This is a dog whistle back to all the fundie YouTube content she listens to. They don’t want women educated in anything beyond cooking, cleaning and submissiveness. To have women in educated ( because it’s always women she’s trying to demean) means that they are independent and that’s the worst thing in Melanie’s mind.

Media Studies Mel being so film illiterate that she can't get that Hagrid's motorbike (first scene of Harry Potter) was probably Charmed to be invisible but was visible on film so that the audience can understand WTF is going on. Mel, look up "diegesis", it's going to blow your mind. Did you know that the people in the films CAN'T hear the John Williams score blaring in their ears, it's just for the viewer. Mind-blowing, right??

Sorry now I'm pro breastfeeding but as for it being taught in schools?? Nonsense. It's something you only truly learn by doing and every experience is completely different. Sure she herself had almost 2yrs of breastfeeding experience with Pan and still struggled to feed her daughter for a good while?

I also struggled to bottle feed my son so should paced bottle feeding etc not be taught in school too, no? She's amazing, it's car crash content and I am HERE FOR IT 😂

What does she mean by breastfeeding should be taught in schools? I learned about breast milk and its benefits in the biology section of my home ec class in Junior Cert. Does Melanie want teenagers to learn how to express milk and feed a child? She’s a freak.

Wtf. My 2 and 4 year olds have more common sense than these two clowns, who never even bothered to learn to drive or swim at the ripe old ages of 34 and 25. Utterly hopeless.

Remember Me-lanie admitting she blew nearly a million Euro over ten years, consequently living and breeding in her in-laws attic to save a house deposit. She’s thick as a brick and I’m not sure that’s redeemable in her case.

I love how comically unappealing this video looks as well. It's two people looking annoyed being surrounded by a bunch of floating negative terms. Who is going to look at this and be like ooo taxes and conflict resolution and grief and... driving... yay, sounds fascinating. It looks like it's just going to be a video of two people whining, not even discussing these topics meaningfully.

Thank christ she isn't actually a teacher by trade, could you imagine that weapon teaching our kids 😳 she would probably bring a lactating woman into the class room and have the kids practise pumping her 😂 she is utterly obsessed with breastfeeding, it's absolutely not normally. She had the boob out, Miggledy D would’ve been scarred for life if was able to see over the lectern 😬 sitting on the floor pretending to play with the baby during a speech ,whilst the rest of the room were seated. Tommy boy could’ve taken the baby outside( to amuse her )during the speeches, I thought it pretty ignorant…#martyrmammylovestheattention.
