He's admitted before drinking alot to numb the pain when Tom passed away, so I would say alcohol not drugs.

can confirm he was definitely a drinker, back when the wanted where at their peak they had a radio tour and I went to one of the stations to wait outside, they’d flown up from Manchester and you could smell the Alcohol on his breath when I was talking to him
