More so him cos he seems decent and didn't deserve the reaction he got, but how about actually listening to what women want when they say what they want instead of ignoring every single aspect and providing something they 'need' instead? Yes she was downright unreasonable in her list but some specifications could've easily been met! They set the guy up for a fall purely for the show.

I agree. Think they have mismatched them for drama that’s bound to happen. Nikita is a nightmare. She’s extremely shallow, rude and entitled. There’s going to be fireworks for sure. Feel sorry for Ant he seems a very nice decent guy. He’s been stitched up.
 
Madly trying to catch up on the programme and then read all this thread so I can join in ! Just on the episode with Morag & Luke and Dan & Matt..... think I'm almost upto date.... it's certainly different from the previous UK ones - very Aussie MAFS!! But a car crash in the making !! Loving it.... though not some of the brides so far !! ;)
 
Did I get this right? On the first show they said there would be 8 couples, but when I counted the wives (and Matt) and the grooms, there were only 7 people.

I will admit I had had a drink or two so might have miscounted but I'm sure I only counted 7 people at each party.

Can anyone clarify and correct me please?

There’s a couple who we’re meant to get married but lockdown happened and then they met anyway and now have a baby! Spoken about on 1st or 2nd page of this thread i think! I think they’re the 8th

Yes, yes he did. But unlike these woman, at least looks wise he was better looking than his match. And she was tall and curvy. Speaking as a tall women, we're not to everyone's taste.

I don't think there is anything wrong with having a preference. I certainly do, and I think most people do. But these woman are looking down on the men and acting like they are better than them, because they are not their type. Even though a blind man can see that these woman are no way out of these guys leagues. I would say Ant is way out of Nikita's league; and the other two are pretty evenly matched in looks.
 
Just skipped through last night’s episode whilst waiting for Corrie. Morag has a very high opinion of herself, but I thought she was going to be worse going off the tabloids today. Why match her with a homely guy who wants kids when she wants a materialistic meathead who’s going to make her cry? 🙄 (rhetorical question)

I find Dan/the young one in the gay couple very insincere. “Do you want kids?” in response to the 12-year age gap like that somehow makes him mature and “I just wanted someone kind” 🤮 🚩
 
So controversial opinion but I think Robert is probably a bit of a duck boy. He just fits the mould of the slightly chubby one who has the gift of the gab and gets women into bed with the big personality (not a euphemism) and loads of compliments. He seemed pretty sure they’d be shagging on the first night which seemed at odds with his chat with her brother. May be proved wrong…

Most of them seem to have been selected for good TV purposes, hopefully none of the genuine ones end up as collateral damage.

Totally agree that two of the women so far really rate themselves whereas the grooms are better looking.
