He is absolutely disgusting and I find him totally triggering. The micro-aggressions, the repulsive, condescending laughing, other facial expressions, the manipulation of his persona depending on who he's talking to and the faux surprise/shock knock me sick. The girls didn't help but Alex has been this toxic throughout. An overwhelm of red flags - it should be compulsory to watch this before having anything to do with him in future.

On a side note, this series has been a tacky joke - MAFS AUSTRALIA WAY better.

It's hard to express how facial expressions can be so toxic. A while ago my partner had a terrible habit of rolling his eyes and sighing when I faffed about getting ready and he just wanted to leave the house.
In the end I had it out with him and told him I found it horrible, demeaning and made me nervous. I take as long as I take to get ready for a reason.
Tbf he is intelligent and apologised and said he didn't realise how his impatience could be upsetting for me and stopped it.
(I'm not saying it is up to the woman to educate the man - I just understand how these, seemingly insignificant things, can make you feel).

When he smirks at someone being upset, it sends a message that:
They are a laughing stock for having feelings
They are “crazy” and not to be taken seriously
It also shuts down any possibility of an actual conversation or accountability for behaviour by making another human being into a joke.

It’s gaslighting 101, I can’t believe some people don’t understand this in 2024. He has the maturity of an actual 5 year old, not a grown man. Paul defending him was sickening.
btw Alex also has DV allegations against him, to the surprise of absolutely nobody!

I was really shocked by the response on here at the time of the Maldives nap argument {not many were as perturbed by his behaviour at that point bizarrely?!}... I felt like he ramped up to super aggressive in that instance (and at that stage was the first we'd seen of that side of him)..
I understood his frustration and his point re the nap and yeh she was having a pop unfairly, but the whole interaction was unpleasant on both sides (I understood her point and also his) but how they handled it was an indication of how it's continued between them.. but ultimately he went from 0 to 100 alarmingly and it was uncomfortable to watch how physically threatening he seemed when he was stood over her. *Same goes for anyone standing over someone else like that, not just a male to a female.

But yeh I was shocked by the response on here with the majority on his side and not many picking up on how aggressively he handled it, even if he was in the right.

Weirdly as a victim of narcissistic abuse, I do also see a softer side to him that he shows occasionally, that I can't help but believe is genuine... Maybe I'm too brainwashed and affected by gaslighting and manipulation but it doesn't feel like a fake mask to me... I think underneath it all he is actually alright, he just really struggles to drop the facade.

However I think he's got very bad anger management issues and should definitely get help with that going forward.

The fact that all the women on the show saw the inherent misogyny in the way he treats and speaks to women even with the camera rolling speaks volumes. He’s an abuser who smirks and grins to antagonise on purpose, which is a disgusting tactic to use on anybody but particularly in a relationship.
He also paints himself as a good person despite repeatedly proving he isn’t - for example by posting that Instagram to make it seem like he’s the bigger person when actually he is a toxic and vile individual. Classic abuser behaviour. I feel sorry for any woman who encounters him in the future.

I totally agree. Very misogynist and the way he spoke to women.… I thought he was utterly vile.
