My mums opinions are important to me but my mum isn't controlling nor forces her opinions into me. She lets me make my own decisions and respects my choices (unless obviously extreme cases i.e abuse) she'll give her opinion only when asked or genuinely concerned for good reason.

Peggy's parents don't see her as a seperate human being - she's just an extension of them to fulfill their lacks.
