Maybe there is some kind of Kim Catrall Mannequin-esque swap shenanigans going on and Peggy is the evil mannequin come to life having imprisoned the old Peggy as a mannequin.

Does George’s come from money? I’m almost sure the first episode it definitley came across as though he’s from a wealthy family but there doesn’t seem much mention of that. Peggys bedroom furniture is quite traveller style. I wonder if they are from the travelling community in which case it would make complete sense as to her dads views as they hold very traditional values. I still feel for George’s though and think he should run a mile.
 
With regard to Tasha there's clearly some trauma with her family which is why she will never work with Paul who is obviously close to his parents.

Peggy makes me puke. She has zero personality and just goes with everyone else's opinions. I can't see any bloke ever being good enough for her and her horrible parents. Her father was appallingly rude to Georges. A complete scumbag with no manners.

I feel sorry for Thomas as he clearly likes Roz and she doesn't know what she really wants (other than the fact it isn't him).

Laura is a stuck up bitch and it's doomed with Arthur. He is like all the Polish people I've ever met in so much as he is very direct with the way he speaks. Its a cultural thing, not because he has any problems with English. Polish people are always brutally honest and don't sugar coat the truth. Laura clearly doesn't understand that and she doesn't think he's good enough for her anyway.
