this may be unpopular but I don't think it is scripted per se.
My only evidence for this is that I had a friend who was on a British reality show verrrrrryyyy similar in structure/premise (I won't say who/what/when haha) and she said that, whilst the producers definitely stir/encourage/narrate, they don't script you to say stuff. You say what you say. You act how you act. You may be put in situations which you haven't chosen (i.e. going for drinks, in a room with someone etc you catch my drift) but they don't tell you what to say. They also pick characters who they know will act like this - the producers will know what these people are like and they build a show around that.
The storyboard would have been Mathew the Virgin vs Lauren the Lesbian, even if it wasn't as black and white as that. They (being Lauren and Mathew) build upon the story that the producers chalk up before them two have even met. It would have been Ines message Sam. Sam reply. Like they fill in the gaps. It's like improvisation on a dramatised scale on reality tv.
Sorry if I'm rambling, but Sam's stories on Insta just don't sit right with me. Same with Lauren's interview. You may have been steered in that direction by the producers, right or wrong, by being put in that situation. But you said what you said. You acted the way you acted. You behaved the way you behaved. It just seems more like saving face to me after they received backlash (Sam's was backlash from the U.K., Lauren in Oz). Obviously I'm basing it on a different tv show and someone's different experience, but us human beings are a weird bunch and say some nasty, weird things sometimes. Put in an environment like the one they're in, course there's going to be drama. Don't need to script that 😂

Oh thank goodness, I thought it was just me!
Plot twist: tomorrow they'll come down with salmonella poisoning and miss the next dinner party while negotiating access to the one bathroom in the apartment 😷

I found that very insensitive of him - and his attitude to sex in general seems very transactional, like, I've arranged a hot air balloon, a few rose petals around a Jacuzzi and a nice dinner, drop your pants love! It all seems a bit much, literally two days into "the experiment", but I suppose he is being fed his lines by the producers too 😁 I'm sure there's more than an element of truth to it but it's a handy excuse for them when they behave like douches isn't it, "oh the producers made me say it!".

Martha is definitely modeling herself on the Kardashians - the look, the tit-stirring, the vocal fry: I'm only sorry they didn't find her her very own Kanye instead of compliant, dull Michael.

Sam's a piece of work - you could see from his facial expressions he enjoyed making some of the jibes about Lizzie, and in particular when he was shoving strawberries and Nutella into her face you could see he knew how the producers were going to portray it and he thought it was funny.
I'd love to know how that whole "fingers in the mouth" fiasco came about. I don't think he's quite as sweet and innocent as he makes out.
Yes, definitely, you could see from his Instagram that he was a douchebag! He said some other things to explain bits that occur later on in the programme (didn't post as it will spoil). He presumably thought the explanation would make him look better but it actually showed what a wrong 'un he is and that he is so daft he doesn't realise it! I still believed the bits about him being kept away though and encouraged to enter the dinner party late etc.

I think it is clear from what Lauren and Sam have said that it isn't scripted but that they are put in certain situations and encouraged to say different things.

I believe what Lauren said about being told by the male producer that they would keep her there all day unless she refilmed it. Mainly because she seems genuine but also because the filming of that bit just didnt make sense either. I watched it and couldn't understand why her character seemed to completely change etc. Also she is right she didn't say she wanted threesomes. She said "if" so her explanation of the conversation they were actually having, prior to the editing, does make sense.

Also with Sam, the room numbers change throughout the filming and so does Anus' knicker colour. Some of what these guys are saying definitely fits the editing of the show.

Sam has posted on his Insta page some things he can now reveal as some of the limits in his contract no longer apply. He arrived back from that funeral after a couple of days but the producers wouldn't let him go back to the hotel where Lizzie was. They told him they weren't filming until the end of the week and put him up in a hotel away in Coogee for days. Meanwhile they filmed Lizzie going mad all alone but he was there! They had to film journals every night as a couple. Each contestant had a phone to do it. He apparently filmed his every night, saying he couldn't wait to get back to see Lizzie but they told him they had "lost his footage" and used everyone else's journals and not his, as it showed him in a positive light and didn't match the storyline they were filming. When it came time for the dinner party when he arrived back, he was the first one there but they wouldn't let him go in. Instead they kept telling Lizzie he wasn't coming, winding her up, but he was with the producers, and didn't put a chair out for him etc. He said the producers set up the room where they had sex - that is why the room numbers and Anus' (sorry, Ines') knickers don't match. He did say he didn't sleep with her but I don't really believe that bit! He also said that he was pushed to say comments about her weight and kept having to refilm it because he was positive about Lizzie. He wasn't allowed to return to the wedding until he said what they wanted. The producers kept saying "She is a pretty big girl. Come on Sam." So eventually he admitted she was bigger than girls he usually dated. He said he meant her height. Who knows what the truth is but I definitely believe the bits about him being kept away on purpose.
So according to innies they didn’t have sex but she explained in detail what happened. It’s gross. Pretty sure it was in a now deleted IG post.

For context too, Sam immediately tried to become YouTube famous and produced all these stupid random videos after his part of the show aired. He was only in for exposure. Needless to say his YouTube career didn’t take off. He works in a bottleo now.

Sam is definitely full of tit. He said he was goaded by the producers and that he didn’t fat shame Lizzie he was apparently referring to her height when he said she’s bigger than any girls he’s dated. That’s a straight up lie because when he was with his mates at the wedding he was saying he would get her out running every morning.

Can you guys let me know which episode E4 is up to? I’m watching on 4OD and I want to make sure I’m EXACTLY where you guys are up to!! ☺️

Cyrelle should have been removed from the show. I absolutely hate when people are aggressive violent etc then go back to say oh I have trust issues I have been hurt. We have all been hurt in the past but we aren't flying off the handle every 5 minutes over very minor things. She is an aggressive person and really coming across badly. The fact her instinct is to leave but then have a go at Nick because he might leave is just ridiculous, cant believe hes stuck around her so long..

What do you guys like about Mick? I am curious! Can't see the appeal at all but quite like Cameron instead

I just think because he seems like such a normal guy. Very what you see is what you get! Also when he walked into Marthas room in last nights ep did anyone catch him looking at her face to see wtf was on it - made me laugh haha.
