In the recent UK version they were genuinely on the show for the right reasons and the show appeared to be genuine. The Australian version just seems to be really misleading and dishonest and way too many ad breaks! Take them out and each episode would be 45 mins not 90 !

Thankfully I’ve been watching them via catch up so no/minimal ads although I will say even with the ads they seem to have more tv time than most shows. Maybe if I’d watched from the beginning and watched the uk one I would see the difference but I guess it’s like any reality show. People want drama and that’s what they go towards. Sad really as I do like a good love story, I do like jules and cam but feel like they get pushed to the side for the conflict
 
Has anyone seen the article on the UK MAFS that was postponed back in March 2020 because of COVID ? The guy asked the producers to set up a zoom chat with who he had been matched with and they hit it off and were chatting online then decided to meet (I'm assuming over the summer when we were allowed to move around)... she located to where he lived and now they are having a baby !!! The UK one that happened just before lockdown the young couple they seemed to get on well and decided to stay together .... need to check if they were still together as that's about a year ago they got together.... think some go into it for the right reason but the Australian one seems to be more for the fame......

ETA - found the link.... also read that the UK version is to change to more like the Australian one !! :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

Omg I couldn’t with that! I’m sure she was a lovely girl really but the hair, nails, make up, jewellery. It was all too much!!! Have you seen her now? I didn’t recognise her, she’s totally different!

I download it to watch after it airs and with ad breaks out it's usually around 64 minutes.
 
Lizzie looked so much better without her makeup on, I seriously wanted to just wipe it all off every scene she was in.

Lizzie is now very thin however she you could only even tell she was slightly bigger when they did long shots as she carried all her weight from the waist down and had bigger hips which I’m guessing is what he meant. Left is her on MAFSA, right is her now (in my opinion she looks better on the left but whatever makes her happy I guess!)
