I’ve just watched all of the available episodes on Sky. I have long thought on this series that a great many of the women seem unhinged which sounds really mean but some of the characters in this series are making Bryce look decent 😮

Dom has a bit too much to say for herself but Olivia is absolutely batshit. She’s a very pretty woman. I don’t buy the story about how she’s not happy with her looks so she chooses the wrong guys. She’s one of the most vindictive people I’ve ever seen on reality television. I’d say she maybe has a personality disorder. She and Jackson will not last - he won’t be able to cope with her spiteful streak.

Jess and Carolina are both pretty awful people. Tamara isn’t that nice either.

Why on earth did the experts pair Al with Samantha? A guy who is younger than her and still lives with his mum??. Then they lecture him about changing and being more mature. You can’t just change someone’s personality. It’s ridiculous - they should have paired Sam with someone older. I feel sorry for Al - the poor thing looks confused all the time.

The worst man in the experiment, Andrew has gone at least. He just wanted Holly to bow down to him and say ‘Oh Andrew, you are the most remarkable sex god’. He treated Holly appallingly.

Olivia is the devil incarnate. I have never been so triggered by someone in my entire life.
She is a dangerous, nasty mean girl. Her behaviour is downright psychotic, she’s the type who would kick a puppy if no one was looking.
I think we all knew someone like her growing up and sadly, she is proof that some women don’t grow out of it.

It’s a pity that Dom wasn’t wise enough to realise she was being taunted and provoked cause she gave Olivia exactly what she wanted, Dom embarrassed herself while Olivia sat back and watched the show playing the victim. A narcissist if I ever saw one, poor Dom must have felt she was going mad from being gaslit so much.

I have never felt such anger & frustration on someone on reality tv before this, not even Faye from last season of love island annoyed me this much. She makes me so uncomfortable to watch.
 
Hi all, I am up to date with the aus pace (final episode tonight so sad about it) but love reading this thread and agree with pretty much everything that’s been said.

just wanted to go back to the point of Olivia being her dads carer yet somehow being able to have all those relationships, a job, be at uni, etc etc.

I was a carer along with my mum for my grandma in her final couple of years of life, I already was with my partner before then but he moved in with us so I was able to keep a relationship. HOWEVER, there’s no way Olivia could have been her dads full time carer with all that extra stuff, I cared for my grandma for weekdays only with my mum doing nights and weekends with occasional help from others, I barely had time to go to the toilet. You can’t possibly be a full time carer with all of that too, I put everything on hold to help and if any of you have been a carer before, you know how incredibly difficult it is. My mental health plummeted and I had to beg my partner to take me out of the house before I completely lost my mind. Maybe it’s just me and she is some kind of wizard but I never would have been able to have a job (I mean the caring was my job really) of some sort or go to uni as well, I would have combusted 😂

also not sure if any of you ever watched Bondi Rescue, but Olivia’s brother (Tommy) was a lifeguard on that show for a bit. I remember he mentioned his dad on the show, I think he was still alive at that point but not doing well, he quit being a lifeguard due to being exposed to too many horrific things like suicides (yet somehow doesn’t have a problem with his sisters behaviour). I actually quite liked him, thought he was nice and all but then I found out she’s his sister and he did an instagram story once watching MAFS saying “hahaha my sister is so cute” when she was being a bleep so yeah nup, he lost me after that 😂

I suddenly remembered a comment Olivia made to Jackson before the first commitment ceremony and it was something like ‘I sound like a narcissist’. I thought that sounded odd at the time, but now it puts me in mind of that saying about people telling you who they are. Olivia’s the original wolf in sheep’s clothing.

I mainly agree with you but I'm not convinced that Jackson is Mr Nice Guy. A decent man would have seen through Olivia's bitchiness by now and would be shocked at the snobby things she said about Dom. I'm suspicious of him.

At the start of this series I thought most of the men seemed dreadful but now I don't think the men are any where near as bad as some of the women. The men generally seem to get on well and have some comraderie.

Tamara Olivia and Sam are bitchy with Olivia as chief witch. Carolina is a horribly rude person. Dom is brash but OK sometimes. The only women I like are Selina and Ella.
 
I’m so on the fence about Jackson, it crosses my mind that maybe he isn’t the guy he makes himself out to be… but equally, maybe he’s a product of his upbringing and he puts women on a pedestal, makes excuses for their behaviour and falls for every sob story he’s told. You saw how he backtracked when she had her ‘panic attack’ and was crying, he soon forgot the fact he was really put off by her previous tit behaviour.
I’m inclined to think it’s the latter. It’s often the case that you accept much more in the way of horrible and sometimes abusive behaviour when you have been exposed to that as a child.

I think Jackson is probably as big a twit as Olivia, he's just getting a softer edit, he's not really shown that much.
 
Okay… Don’t come for me pls but does anyone else see Olivia’s side? 🙈😭 Don’t get me wrong she’s a psycho, I’ve hated her from the beginning and glad she’s shown her true colours BUT I don’t think Dom is a nice person either. She’s defo the lesser of two evils and more of a gobshite than anything, but I do think she is a bit of a bully.

E.g. Carolina was more than held accountable by the experts, yet Dom still felt the need to start on her after she’d left the couch to carry on the humiliation clearly because she’d identified that even though Carolina is a nasty witch she’s actually very poor at dealing with confrontation, meaning she would be able to berate her successfully without Carolina being able to stand up for herself nor anyone else stepping in, as Dom had also recognised that Carolina had no support in the room - that’s what a bully does. I can see why Olivia stuck up for her despite what she’d done and tbh I would have done the same thing.

Dom is just very comfortable with confrontation and knows others aren’t, and enjoys picking on easy targets - case in point once she realised she had met her match in Olivia she was (finally) speechless and smashed a glass out of frustration, which I thought was absolutely pathetic tbh. HOWEVER Olivia also did the exact same thing to Holly! Sticking her oar in and telling her off when she knew Holly had no one on side and again wouldn’t be able to stand up for herself. So she is a witch and a massive hypocrite but like I said, don’t like her, can just see her point

Yes Dom definitely has a lot of issues herself. No normal adult breaks stuff in response to goading. She played right into Olivia’s hands, there. I think it’s fair to say that a lot of the women this series aren’t very nice people.

When they were at the retreat Dom said to her posse of girls 'let's put Caroline in the garden and all throw things at her' words to that effect.

Now that is bullying no matter how much you dislike someone, getting others onside. Not saying I'm any better but she was definitely playing into the bullying narrative she hates so much.

To be fair, I don’t disagree with you, especially when Dom chose to go in on Carolina despite her having already had a kicking from the ixperts.
The only thing I would disagree with is that Dom doesn’t like confrontation, she likes running her mouth but as you say, she had nothing to say when Olivia was mouthing off to her. She doesn’t get into arguments, she waits until she thinks she has someone on their own and she has backing and then goes for it, imo. She just sat there like a goldfish and occasionally repeated back toOlivia… then smashed a glass. She latched onto something she could use as a ‘she was bullying me’ line (criticism of Dom’s voice) and went with it with gusto.

I don't entirely disagree with you. I've known a few Dom's over the years. Very gobby and opinionated. Can be quite bitchy. The Dom's of this world tend to blast out what they have to say then move onto the next thing.

However, there is something quite psycho about Olivia. Dom seems to have tapped into something with her that is very worrying. I would be genuinely scared of Olivia.
