Ok, so I've just been thinking. I don't want to out myself here so I need to be careful. I have a few houses that we've devided up in to individual rooms, just like his.
If that is the only window in his entire room, that room is entirely illegal.
His only fire exit, at the moment is his one entrance and exit door. If there is a fire he is buggered as he truly isn't squeezing out of that window!!
You have to have an emergency exit other than the main door (which hopefully is a firedoor)
