they weren’t going to work and I don’t think Jesse wanted it to - if he’s the one to quickly call it off on a fairly weak excuse, then he was never invested enough. I feel like this was a good time for Jesse to write leave - and leave.
im not belittling the ongoing feeling after experiencing being cheated on - trust me - but Claire’s behaviour has been consistent and if he decided to stay and trust her after the initial kiss, there wasn’t enough to change his mind in what we’ve seen. Like Claire says, they were progressing well. Therefore I don’t believe jesses reason for his 180 shutdown.

Reminds me of me the other week when I was sitting in the waiting room of the wrong Zoom meeting for work.
It was surreal because I was texting people to let me in and they were saying well, we're all here and we can't see you.
