I think Zara is great. She doesn’t take her self too seriously and that’s a great quality to have especially when so many attractive women like her, do just that. For such a bland girl, she’s down quite well for herself. Hopefully she doesn’t read mean comments about her from people who don’t really know her?

I think you miss the point of the forum. Hardly any of us know any of them personally. It’s about perception. There are rave threads which anyone can start. Hope she doesn’t read your back handed compliment 😊

Haha, "mean". It was a general comment on the fact her accent now sounds completely different to its natural state, and that someone shouldn't need to feel the need to alter themselves and posh up their accent to fit into their surrounds. Anyway, you're a rich one to speak about being "mean" given the amount of crap you've said to me on here. Bore off.

Fair play to Zara and Melissa they are successful young females and making decent careers for themselves. In fact many of the female MIC cast have done similar. Verity often gets similar jealous insults on here but

Why do some of you watch the show so much so you join a forum about that show - to them just criticise every cast member?

So much to unpick here! First of all, cast members like Melissa are inherently boring and bring zero value to the show. Genuinely what value does she add, aside from being a haughty, judgemental hypocrite and talking behind other people's backs and pulling stupid faces? She called her supposed best mate "a fame-hungry bleep".

Haha, working hard?!! Making careers for themselves? Are you deluded?! Melissa was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, as was every cast member on this show! Made in Chelsea has been a massive springboard for loads of cast members and enabled them professional opportunities they would never had achieved without the publicity gained through the show.

The only professional experience I can see on Melissa's LinkedIn is a brief admin internship, before she mysteriously became founder of a swimwear brand at a young age. We'd all be living our best lives of our parents enabled it, but some of us actually work out asses off and are saving hard to afford our own places without getting a penny from the Bank of Mum and Dad. This is absolutely not a question of jealousy. It's a matter of boring people who offer nothing in the way of personality or otherwise, getting fast-tracked onto the show merely because they're in a relationship with an existing cast member, or a mate. What have any of these people contributed to society, and/or what exactly about them is remotely interesting? Pray do tell.

As for Verity, are you having a laugh?😂Do remind me what credentials she has to have earned the mantle of so-called clean eating restaurant entrepreneur? She's merely the pretty vegan girl face of the brand while her mate has clearly done most of the legwork. She's not even listed as a director on Companies House! She's also a horrid person, as proven by how she's conducted on the show over several years.

What's most aggravating about this post and your attitude is knowing what hard graft actually looks like, as the child of a mother who became widowed at a young ago and had to single-handedly raise a child in London with zero financial support, while studying and working. Now that's an inspirational woman. You calling a load of silver spoon kids "very successful and hardworking" and claiming they've earned their success meritocratically is beyond insulting and pathetic. Do get a grip on reality, dear.

Also, you're not really grasping the premise of an internet forum, are you? The whole point is so that people can air opinions on a topic and stimulate discussion. What are you exactly - the thoughts mafia?

I see JulianC has since deleted their ridiculous post which I quoted/called out above. You guys can probably understand why I strongly suspect this person of having a personal link to the show. Massively giving off that vibe, especially with his/their repeated fierce defence of certain cast members and general deluded perspective on life. It all smacks of entitlement and someone who was born into vast privilege.

I've had the exact same experience with said poster in several posts. He makes some really impassioned comment about the show/current cast members and angry jab in response to something I've commented on, before very quickly deleting it, which IMO is him worrying he'll give himself away. People on here aren't convinced it's a cast member or someone who's close to a cast member but I'm sticking to my guns when I say I definitely think it is.You're right; it's just beyond boring and I'm fed up of indulging this tw4t. Sorry for the heavy language - it's not like me to be so blunt on an internet forum but the entitlement and arrogance in their post tonight was just enraging. It's a real shame that all the inherited wealth in the world still can't buy people a personality 😂

In that original post he said something about “Tempt…ing us in.” Is that a hint about Miles mate temptation on Insta?

Did you all see Nicholas and Ruby’s stories today? Ruby spent the night in hospital and the have the fire service out because of dangerous levels of carbon monoxide is their home! Actually rate them talking about it and telling people to get alarms because it really is so scary and is a silent killer.

Yeah, another boring friend of theirs, some sleazy-looking meathead Miles goes to the gym with. An Essex boi, I think. Talk about desperate casting choices. That's probably sounding the death knell to this show. It's become so divorced from it's original purpose, they need to bin off the current casting directors and bring in people who can actually do the job properly.

I wonder if they would be better just starting from scratch with a new social circles rather than keelinb going for people friends with people that are already in it. When they introduce "new" people it's so forced and obvious they have been brought in just for potential dates.
 
Anyone seen the latest campaign Zara is working on? It's a good cause but don't think she's qualified to talk about under 5s , there are comments on her post saying they hope she uses her platform to raise the issues where the problem really lies and I hope she does instead of just trying to make herself look good by working alongside Kate Middleton

Absolutely, you've hit the nail on the head. I'm bored of their lazy casting choices, which seems to solely comprise of them hiring the mates of current stars, or the Love Island-style route of sifting out some attractive Instagram "influencer" who's posh and looks the part. Give us some people with substance and personality. I really like Yasmine; she's comes across a decent and genuine person with a bit of spark about her and is well able to hold her own. Aside from her, the only decent casting choices they've made in ages - IMO - are Paris, Inga and Joel.

I watched her doc about revenge porn and thought she did a good job of it. She seems like a genuinely compassionate person who really cares about the causes she's promoting, but I find really jarring her ever-growing fixation with pretending she's posh. It comes across so fake and off-putting and takes away from her likeability.

I watched her doc about revenge porn and thought she did a good job of it. Completely agree , I feel bad as she has done alot of good rather than just prancing around like most reality stars/ influencers but I know what you mean about the posh thing and she always says "Mummy" 😂
 
I couldn’t believe it when I saw her at the event! I don’t mind Zara but it just seemed so strange when she has no children and there are so many ‘influencers’ who do, if that is what the purpose was for her being there.

She has done quite a long story about why she’s involved and I do now think it does make some sense. It would bring another layer to her documentaries if she looks at childhood traumas too and it also might help bring awareness to the generation she appeals to who are not even thinking of having kids yet.

As long as she fully understands the subject and doesn’t misinform people then I think it could be a good thing. She could start with her sister in law though who seems to think because Leo won’t have memories until around age 5 that ‘he won’t remember any of this’ and it doesn’t matter that she’s been absent for a large part of his life 🙄

I objectively respect Zara. She’s carved out a career and niche from, in my opinion, nothing. Even if her pursuit of Sam was tactical they have a good chemistry and they’ve made it work well. Both of them are on the rise if you look at the opportunities they’re both getting.

Pity she had the xfactor wobble (and terrible acting cry. Tragic) but if I was held accountable for my twenties I wouldn’t be able to get up in the morning. Hahaha

Meanwhile I do know from common friends that a lot of the cast lurk and read on this forum and it’s highly probable that there are a few cast members commenting. They’re all pretty vapid, definitely not worth being sucked into their void and arguing with. The idea that wealthy white women who do duck all all day are career women is laughable. It’s a weird curiosity to see how these people live but what made me genuinely laugh at the hilarity was the defense of them.
