I think 98% of the cast come from upper middle class backgrounds, they aren’t the type to mix with people who don’t move in the same social circles as them and I guarantee nearly all of them will be very selective about who they date and socialise with. If you don’t have money you’ll probably not get a look in.

digby went to an independent school in Somerset. He also was a professional golfer (you need money to pursue that particular career).

Not to give too much away about myself. But three people in my school were junior pros, two adult pros (one was a close relative). We're no where near MIC status. Another relative has married into MIC type crowd. You definitely don't need a trust fund to get in the crowd or to be a pro golfer. But the rest of the group will always see you as lesser.

miles is good looking but he’s a baby and his baby face on that over bulked body just looks bloody weird

Digby is handsome and has a great personality and character but am I the only one who thinks he looks…haggard? There’s just something about him that doesn’t look youthful or fresh. Kind of like when someone loses loads of weight and they suddenly have wrinkles they didn’t have before like deep ass smile lines… anyway I hope someone knows what I mean lol
 
Still catching up on the series but India is so annoying. This whole "I thought he might be with me one day" thing is ridiculous. Either it's made up for TV drama, or she's naive to the point of stupidity. I don't particularly like Julian (despite that one time when I had a dream that I was dating him, whoops 😂) but he has made it clear for two years that he isn't going to commit to India. He has dated other women on national TV in that time. It's ridiculous that she's claiming that she didn't know the situation.

Yep, she wanted the engagement so she gets pregnant and then boom. He thinks he’s in control when really she’s got everything she wanted in the timescale she wanted (engaged and pregnant by 30) and he’s convincing himself he’s now ready. Bit surprised they’re supposed to be getting married in December - when is she due?

We don’t know he made it clear though, he was even saying when she turned up that he could see her as a girlfriend. I think she’s dull, not particularly attractive, and acting like a psycho, but many people have had one person that was completely wrong for them that for some reason they were fixated on and didn’t see or listen to reason.

He could have spun her a line at being forced by the programme to go on dates for a storyline. It’s clear he’s a horrible liar who thinks he’s a nice guy - lies to Tabitha when he wasn’t going to get sex that his mother was ill/injured and needed his help. Met up with India instead, lied that they were just friends, she was desperate for a place to stay and they “lay like sticks in the bed” when in fact they shagged. He didn’t like Digby getting some attention so slept with her to show he could pull her with no intention of it meaning anything when he knew how she felt about him.

I have not had a chance to watch any of the summer series because the site I used hasn't posted any links yet 😕 but thank you all for these posts keeping me up to date on the shenanigans. I just saw the preview for the next series and first thing is Maeva saying Miles does whatever she tells him to. *le sigh* Again, good luck to James because I don't think the weird attachments Miles and Maeva fall into with one another are just storylines. They will likely be interfering in one another's lives and acting weird/territorial/faux unbothered for many years to come.

I don't really know if Miles is gay or bisexual. I never got those vibes but I am also not the greatest ay picking up on them either lol. I felt he might be having trouble because he hasn't tried to cultivate a personality beyond his looks and being a player. I always had the impression that the boys were a bit jealous of Miles and got annoyed at the girls saying he is good looking. James in particular, I never really bought the reason he stopped being friends with Miles as valid or the real reason. He said Miles was immature and yet James still hangs with Sam Prince who is infinitely way worse in that regard. I feel like James and the other boys constantly being critical of everything Miles does and things they are also guilty of doing was just a way to keep him in his place. The boys always act like the girls are the only ones guilty of this behavior in friend groups. Men in general like to act like women are all drama and cattiness but they have their ways too.

This is true, and something I hadn't considered. I'm so cynical that I always assume the most controversial parts of the show were instigated by the producers, so this is a line that actually could have worked on me when I was younger 😂 thanks for helping me realise that.

I do think he's one of those "nice guys" who is dishonest and manipulative, but I also don't quite buy that India was as naive to it as she claims. I think they both come across as the type to play the victim and it's actually just boring me to watch them both trying it.

I agree. I haven’t watched it but she’s pregnant she doesn’t need to be involved in anything miles does now it’s weird. If I was her I wouldn’t even be filming
