I think they're trying to be more love island with it, but that's a bad move! Most people don't want to sit indoors and watch TV every night in summer, this will mean people will miss one ep and not bother. Once a week is way more manageable!

So they were obviously waiting for Love Island to finish before airing these episodes. Still an episode a night is heavy going! Then they need to get the Mallorca stuff done in order to start the new season which is usually around end Aug / early Sept.
