As much as I would love this tea, I would be very careful sharing any story that's specific enough that it would make it easy to identify you or your business. Whoever it was might respond by blasting you to all their followers, and I'd really hate for your business to suffer a barage of bad publicity for something that isn't your fault!

What’s the best way to handle any situation like this? I just want them to hold up their end of the deal or pay for the goods 😩

Did they agree they would promote your items or did you send unsolicited and hope they would? If you have an agreement you could probably take legal action, if it's the other then I guess that's the risk you take.

I'm sorry this is happening to you. Some of these influencer types have no morals!

I'm not sure to be honest. I totally empathise with the urge to out them, but I just worry that it would be so easy for them to spread lies about your business in retaliation- people in the public eye can be ruthless when someone reveals their sketchy behaviour!

If they agreed in writing then there may be a way to challenge them legally. Maybe even just sending a message to say you're seeking legal advice will be enough to shake them in to action?

Yes they did.
she chose 4 items from my business and she said she ‘would happily social in return’
So I sent them to her. I’ll give it a few more days but usually she reads my messages and replies within a few hours, this time she’s been online on Instagram all day and just not bothered to open my message. Maybe im just bring impatient 🤣

Exactly my thinking. I have friends in their 20s & 30s that live there and it’s a very sleepy town (no offensive to anyone who lives there, it seems a lovely enough place) but as OP said, not somewhere I would imagine a young couple living. Especially one who’s lives seem very much centred around the busy London vibe. Although I did notice she said on her Q&A that she is hoping to move back to London very soon so i imagine this is not a permanent move.

Ahhh got it. Just seen that his family seem to be from there too so I guess it makes more sense.

That’s terrible and really sorry that’s happened to your business! I totally get the urge to call them out but agree with others that it’s a risky move. This seems to be such a common theme with influencers. My friends sister-in-law owns a small homeware brand & this has happened to her quite a few times…
They are all take take take!

Oh that's so frustrating! I hope she does end up sharing them, I absolutely hate influencer culture and the beggars mentality they all have, such entitlement!

She's one of my least favourite people to have ever been on the show, a total "not like other girls" girl! I don't follow her so haven't seen any of this but itdoesn't suprise me.
