I know she hates her engagement ring/wedding ring because it's not lux enough as you’ve all said 🥰

So she buys a ring because she’s desperate for more bling, rings Ali and says it can be ”our anniversary gift”
Get to duck Lydia. You buy an extra wedding ring 2 months before your anniversary and charge your husband 😂 he’s really been whipped hasn’t he.

Not that I don't think they spent that much time with her, but was one person doing something for her either selling something or whatever in some kind of cosmetics shop/store who said her attitude was just foul to be brutally honest, not a nice person at all, think was in Hadassah's videos the first one she noted her in actually as being top whatever people she watched or watches if she still does.

I think she really regrets having her engagement ring. it's so obvious she hates it. lol

They don’t compliment each other. There’s so much going on in such a small space. The worse part is she actually chose this!

Was it kindly gifted? Partially gifted? (Not by Ali, I mean as payment for posting). She could have had a bespoke piece made that actually suits her other rings for that money.

As “Blingy” as it is it still makes everything look cheap. She would have been better off with an eternity band similar to her wedding band. Stacked on the other side it would have created a more substantial overall look without overshadowing her engagement ring.

Much like her home everything about Lydia is a mishmash. And I don’t mean in that eclectic, cool way.

Oh and it makes her finger look short 😛

I totally agree with everything!

She could have gone custom and got something beautifully made to compliment her other rings, but I don't think she has the patience for that. She has to have everything NOW! Everyone must admire her possessions NOW! She will probably exchange this ring when she see another one she wants to copy.
And what happened with the De Beers thing?
 
Anyone else here think lidl thought getting a (with vouchers/kindly gifted) Tiffany ring was going to make everyone jealous and in awe?
But it turned out no one gave a duck and everyone thinks it’s better to go to a jeweller and have something made and thereby getting much more for your dollar.

Plus the whole engagement was so weird. So cold. So forced. And so rehearsed. There’s nothing personal or sentimental about lidl & aldi’s relationship.
I remember lidl saying in a video someone complimented her ring and she said back “I have good taste” so that clearly tells she controlled the entire engagement situation & aldi just did as he was told.

Her new ring is so obviously her attempt at trying to appear ‘in fashion’ as this style of ring is everywhere now, especially on Instagram but yeah u don’t go from her wedding band & engagement ring style to popping on a completely different style as an eternity ring.

The only thing lidl is actually good at is getting it wrong. Every single time.

Maybe DeBeers was the brand she tweeted about that said 'she wasn't the right look for them to work with' but are now working with her......and they saw the tweet and dropped her like a hot potato!

Someone I know used to work where they got engaged and I mentioned it to her at the time.
She said they have proposals and extravagant displays of affections nearly every week and almost identical. And boring.

The events team there plan basically plan them all so there are only so many ways it can go...

I remember saying this before in the other site...
My other half and I designed the engagement ring together- it's a lot of money to spend on a ring I'm wearing forever (See, Lidl, normal and sane people don't change things all the time just for fashion).
We went to an independent jewellery designer - an award winning one too so even though he's not a designer brand, we know he's good and known around the whole region.
We designed it and the fun part is we didn't know what it would look like and it was measured for my small finger and the fun part was...
It was up to my fiance to think of a surprise proposal...
He organised a load of things to keep me guessing everytime. When I least expected it to happen, it happened.
Their engagement was a bit of a disappointment I'll be honest.
Mine, some people thought was a cliche, I got engaged in Paris... but, I was still surprised and it was still a comedic and lovely moment... we had such a laugh.
Lydia, it felt so forced and weird... I don't know...
I thought about having a Tiffany ring... but I thought where's the originality in that? Where's the story in it?
I also didn't want a ring that everyone else had somewhere out there.
I wanted my own story... I wanted my own ring.
Even if I got a haribo ring I would be happy! lol
Luckily, I did get a great ring and my OH spent a good amount on it
But what I'm saying is,, it's all about the love. It's all about your own personal story... It's not about showing off or keeping up appearances.

The pic isn’t even good. The coat is lopsided and it looks like she has a tail.

you know what I found so sad.
He had this big speech arranged to say to her, but he apparently got so nervous he couldn’t do it and just blurted out “will you marry me”

he got nervous because it was so staged, so set up, part of a hidden AD, he had a videographer set to record it all.
No wonder he got stage fright. That wasn’t a proposal it was a paid for advertisement.

She always manages to look as if she is looking down her nose at people, that somewhere she is of the misconception that she is better than everyone else!

That's really sad if that is the case. I had no idea he had a much bigger thing planned. It was clearly very heavily organised and not spontaneous. If my other half said we were going somewhere in a helicopter I'd smell a rat straightaway LOL
