I think those might be espalier trees? They're put on a wire so they grow in a specific shape as far as I understand, but I am no gardening connoisseur so please correct me if I am wrong. They will look so out of place as well - nothing flows in that garden or that house, it's a hodgepodge of Lidl's abortive dreams.
 
The way she talked about the rental app and Ashby made me feel like that may have been a gifted PR thing. (undisclosed) She was hoping to be ALLOWED to come back on a nicer day/summer. Why would she say that if it wasn't a one time begged freebie from the rental platform? If she paid she could book to go back anytime right?

I just LOVE that it was pouring rain and she could have taken those photos in ANY interior in England... even the SAVOY the next day.

They’re pleached crabapple trees generally planted for birds! You want lots of birds on the terrace you eat on don’t you 😳
You are right (imho) your eye jumps and nothing flows. Most would place a pizza oven to one side not make a feature of it in the middle…3 hours to fire it up correctly btw and hours of scrubbing all other cooking accessories stored in the cupboards etc to make sure no small mammal has got in and urinated etc etc. It’s a nightmare and she’ll be fed up with ALL the work involved (hours of it) just to serve pizza that could have been delivered with no fuss! 😳😥

But sure Lydia, continue to make it seem like a beautiful, problem-free place as you romp through fields of drastically unprofitable crop, which is ruining the lives of the people who feed this country.

Plenty of footpaths do go through fields with cattle and sheep. As long as she reiterates that dogs should be on a lead, not to walk on crops (especially at certain times of the year) then all is good. She could show how to spot a proper footpath, even partner with OS (I love their app).

I also grew up on a farm. There are different people who enjoy the countryside and different ways she could tailor content in a more useful way.

Firstly there's the farmers who go round in workwear, often old polo shirts, torn jackets, caps etc. There's those who like countryside pursuits: hunting, shooting, the equestrians. Then there are the outdoorsy types who like hiking, paddle boarding etc. Her aesthetic to me is appealing to the equis but she's getting that so wrong. As many have said get yourself horse riding lessons and be honest about which hobbies and interests are new to make yourself seem authentic.

She could raise awareness of rural isolation, the current egg supply situation, right to roam, sewage in rivers, sheep getting attacked by dogs, how badly farmers get paid by wool etc.

Arrgghhh!! Can somebody please tell me why everything Ali wears is the wrong length and cut for him. Why is there never a break in his more traditional trousers, and often not even a half break? His coats and jackets are always too long in the body and in the arms which give him a “lost school boy” vibe rather than “hot man full of confidence”. He has a slim narrow build and IMO just can’t pull off those larger lapels, you need more height. Everything he puts on seems to be wearing him rather than him wearing it!
Shorter or more slight men just need a few fanstastic pieces from a great tailor in the right colours. Politics aside of course, Rishi Sunak is a case in point, but despite his enormous efforts, the fit of Ali’s clothes make him look more like he’s channelling Donald Trump!

Yes, I definitely thought that. The way she spoke about the booking platform was quite script like and then said a few times if we are allowed to come back which doesn't make sense...unless she got fake tan all over the furnishings and they ban her of course.

Maybe it’s because he always goes for the medium size as he doesn’t want to be small. Small would fit him so much better especially on the shoulders and arms.
