God this just made me tearyLads I’m so emotional today. So my son started his SEN school this year and when he started he couldn’t communicate, didn’t understand anything we told him he was really really delayed. Got a email today off his teacher of his term report and he’s hit 95% of the targets they gave him back in September and is now communicating properly with teachers with his visuals, if they tell him to do something he’ll go and do it like getting his coat, taking his dishes to the sink etc like he proper understands Anyway got a phone call off his teacher before and she said they wrote his report a week ago and set him targets for the spring term and they’ve already had to sit down and go back over his targets as in the past week he’s hit a few of them like answering level 2 questions with his visual board and going in the kitchen with the teacher and making and buttering toast and pouring drinks correctly I know it doesn’t seem much but he’s like a brand new kid, I never ever thought I’d be able to communicate with him and now he tells me what he wants for tea and what he wants on the telly with his little visuals bless him Im so proud ❤
Just knowing he’s in the right setting and is thriving.
I’m so glad he’s safe and happy.
they sound like amazing teachers and he deserves the biggest squeeze today.
