I thought this, i'm pretty sure on the pod she let it slip she was getting her eyebrows done before she went on her anniversary date to London. Will put money on her saying she had them done in Portugal. Can't stand celebs that rant on about Corona then show blatant disregard for the rules.

Yes and all that crap during lockdown staying home and not going to any shops incase she caught the virus. She’s so thick.
 
The masks are a little bit cringe. The only one I would consider wearing is the “who’s that behind the mask?” one as I appreciate a good pun. 😂

I noticed on this week’s episode that Anna flippantly said that they had five million listeners. I very much wonder whether she meant five million unique downloads rather than subscribers.

I'd assume 5 mill is the number of people who have listened to an episode of the pod, rather than downloads (I don't download podcasts, I stream) or subscribe to some of mine..
 
I’ve unsubscribed. The pod was mildly amusing when I started it (Jan?) but then over recent months I grew tired; facilitated by their immaturity over “not wanting” to discuss BLM. Pathetic. Even before people commented about it here, I also noticed that Luisa would speak over Anna all the time. It’s bad when someone notices that, but when loads of people do, it proves there’s an effing problem. I’d agree that Luisa is trying to show off to old school mates. I follow a few A listers lol and they do not post anything like jets, backdrops to their big houses or designer gear. She likes and needs the attention.
 
I think they really fucked it with how they approached BLM.

not only did they hardly discuss it, their discussion was painful to listen to. So ignorant! I can’t remember the wording but they insinuated that you shouldn’t refer to a black person as a black person. No, you most certainly can, in fact you shouldn’t pretend you don’t see colour. I could go on about how wrong they were with that point but I’d be here forever.

Anna disappointed me after that ep too. I expected more from her.
 
I found it so infuriating how they openly said that they didn't want to discuss BLM because it was too negative for them and they wanted to stay in their own little bubbles. This just sums up why racism hasn't been solved yet. Two privileged white women who decided that racism was too heavy and negative for them to discuss. How insulting to black men and women who have to live everyday experiencing racism. Anna and Luisa had a great platform to speak about BLM. It didn't need to be a lot. It just needed to be educated and not ignorant.

luisa is so clearly jealous of Anna. She made a few comments on the last pod about her going away but ‘sorry Anna, you’ll be working’ yeah she will! Working harder than you ever have and making something of herself instead of ponsing off of a millionaire

This is the last one I listened to (I also missed a couple out before this one) and it made me so angry. If what Anna says is correct and they have 5 million listeners (doubt it) then that 5 million people they could influence to make positive changes. It would have been better if they didn't address it at all in this pod. They just sounded so entitled...and I noticed it was Anna leading this narrative rather than Luisa, I quickly unfollowed her on Insta.

Also, they define their podcast as "...join the girls for their no holes barred rants, chats & bants on the topical stories of the week." - unless it's Black Lives Matter, then they don't wanna know, they'd rather share made up stories from their viewers than talk about anything with any real substance.

I also noticed that they used another storyline I've read in a trashy novel in this episode (the one where the Dr found a stamp on a lady's fanny after she wiped it with a random tissue she found in her bag) as a real listener story. You'd think they'd be better at vetting the shite their listeners send in.

Totally agree with you with regards to the BLM issue.
 
It was so blatantly racist how they wouldn't talk about BLM because it's too negative. They droned on about coronavirus for weeks on end and there's NOTHING positive about coronavirus. Whereas, BLM has many positive aspects. It could be the beginning of real change to the lives of millions of people around the world. If either of them had two brain cells to rub together, they would see that BLM could be approached in a way without it being too negative and draining for their poor, delicate minds :rolleyes:

That tit story about the woman's dog licking her - that was in a trashy magazine a few years ago. I remember a friend telling me about it. I bet it wasn't even true when it was in the magazine. And anyway, it's an awful story, I know they pride themselves on being a bit vulgar but I don't really want to hear that to be honest, it's all a bit teenage. 🤷‍♀️

Yea she’s definitely jealous. Luisa would have loved to get a job on something like Celebs Go Dating. And then she would actually have some content for her IG.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel Anna maybe plays into it a bit, as in, maybe she knows Luisa is irritating as duck but just sort of goes along with it and treats it like a job?? We can only speculate of course

Also please share other similar/better pod recomendations!!
