Just watched First Look... Toby really outed himself as a misogynistic twit didn't he?! Saying 'You're just one of those guys that follow girls, you don't care about boys.'
I guess he's saying that Hugo broke bro code, 'bros before hoes' but only complete dickheads still think like that, it's 2021 FFS. He treated Chloe awfully. He treated Kaz awfully. He doesn't think of women as people at all.
 
I just don't feel like his apology was sincere. He said he didn't know it was offensive. Literally just had a huge Black Lives Matter campaign last year educating people so people who don't know it was offence should have after that. I guess he'll just need to do better in future but people are allowed to think his apology is trash.
 
judging by what Toby said in first look, it just confirms for me that he doesn't respect women the same as men

duh, of course Hugo is going to stick up for his closest friend in the villa, whether that's a guy OR a girl! it just so happens that since Sharon left, Chloe now seems to be Hugo's closest friend in there. I know that all of my guy friends wouldn't hesitate to defend me if another guy was treating me bad. most of us 22 year olds know how to be decent people, Toby is just an anomaly 😂
 
Right, just because i'm curious what type of apology would be appropriate?

Like hes said it, it csnt be unsaid. But what is required for an apology to be accepted? It feels like a pound of flesh is required.

I understand that for POC this is one of many,many examples and its infuriating, hurtful and so on, so i hope this doesnt come across as me, gleaming of white privilige. But in any wrong doing, the best outcome is an apology, a lesson learnt and moving on.
 
with #Jiberty becoming official and exclusive tonight, I really cant see Jakes head turning at Casa Amor and neither will Libs which is annoying from a drama POV, Toby and Chloe, Liam and Millie and Jake and Lib were the only one s that can make Casa entertaining but Chloe and Toby have split, I doubt Liam will ditch Millie and now Jiberty is official so I dont see any casa drama which is bleeping annoying honestly with how dry this season is I dont forsee any casa drama

I agree. I don’t like him either but I feel that the producers at ITV are as much to blame. He is an ignorant moron but he still deserves to have a future. He should be able to move on with his life. His apology may not cut it for many, but he still did it and it is the second one so not really sure what else is expected at this point.

Firstly - removing himself from the villa
Secondly - on camera apology (partially blame itv for this) but he could have rectified when he left
Thirdly - not blaming aspects of rap culture for his behaviour

Of course he wouldn't of been 100% forgiven, but his "apology" was a random selfie he shared on his story where he hid the caption
