I loved Ekin-Su in the villa but she's leaving me a bit cold post LI. Her social media IG content seems very stiff and staged. I'm rooting for them as a couple but I think it'll be more a business arrangement. My best mate is convinced they are besotted with each other - she usually has very good judgement so I hope that's the case but I'm not seeing it.

It was like that before the show, so I'm not surprised For someone who apparently doesn't care what others think of her and encourages people to be themselves, she comes across as anything but authentic on social media. It's just sad to see.

She never acted before 2020 and then she had a tiny tiny part in one show. She was like one of the background actors you see on soaps who get an occasional line, so I don't think she's had any fame to prepare her for what she is experiencing now.

She's struggling as they all do when they come out, a life-changing experience and expected to be a 'certain way' on Social Media despite zero experience.

I kind of agree when Maura first came out but think she got the balance right over time with not in-your-face content but enough to keep people interested. It's hard to replicate the villa on SM but think Maura is very good at the Q and A's, that's when she's the Maura we remember. I'm not sure how Ekin overcomes the Q and A's because I felt she was turning it on for the cameras in the villa.

I don't know if we all watched the same LI but I don't think Ekin was this 'loudmouth' character as she was made out to me. She actually moved quite quietly eg. the kiss with Jay & telling Jacques about the mind reading convo Gemma had with Dami. Her drama was subtle yet effective.

She was only really 'loud' in the fight with Davide and Jay.

I much prefer her to Maura; the amount I cringed watching Maura talk about sex in the villa was unbelievable.

I think on the whole she’s one of the nice good islanders. Out of 20+ people and 8 weeks in the villa naturally there will be people don’t get on with.
It’s impossible to be perfect 24/7 for that time.

It’s impossible to be perfect 24/7 for that time.

agree but it’s just rather telling the only people she didn’t get on with were non OG girls. The lads did fine. There’s a pattern there which luckily for her has been overshadowed by her the fact that the casa crew are also attention seeking knobs. We saw her “oh for fuck sake” reaction to Lacey and Nathalia bombshells arriving - I do think she has a weird attitude to girls. She needs to be the favourite with all lads whether it’s friend or love interest and she clearly views girls as a threat to that.

Na it took her a while to settle in; only till she was with Curtis she settled in properly but by then I think the viewers fell out of love with her a bit because her choice to pursue Curtis was seen as more of a tactical move to stay as it came out of the blue.

I can’t remember the reaction to Natalia and Lacey. Wasn’t it just like ffs more completion? Cause obviously least one would be in to Adam.

It’s always been the case with newbies the boys just aren’t that deep and don’t bother they get one almost straight away. But girls take longer to befriend people and adjust to the changes in dynamics.

Ekin said she got on with Nathalia once the non dramatic beef was settled; you could tell the whole nathalia/ekin/davide thing was set up by producers (apart from the pancake battle which they did themselves). Davide has said himself he had no interest in Nathalia.

I think the producers wanted to show more drama because by the latter stages of the show it dies down so they were using Ekins reaction to show some sort of drama.
