Funny that of all the couples there Ekin Su was the one commenting on Luca and Gemma about arguing over nothing in the beginning of the episode and behind their back. Like she has never done the same with Davide, not just once but more ?

I think she's playing the game very well. Gemma and Luca were kinda over it but she egged Gemma on to confront Luca. I just think it's because she knows they're her biggest competition so if she an change public perception, she will!

I think Ekin meant by that arguing about nothing comment is in her mind she argues with Davide about actual comments he makes while Lemma started an argument that appeared as if out of thin air to the islanders cause Luca didn't seem annoyed after getting back from the challenge (obvs he was during it).

Gemma and Luca were arguing despite Luca not saying anything about the challenge to her. If the girls hadn't riled Gemma up about him "being a baby" about it I don't think they'd have even argued about it as Gemma would have ignored it and they may have just chatted later. Luca hadn't told her he was annoyed and only doubled down when she brought it up cause he didn't seem to want to apologise for his behaviour in the challenge, did he ever actually apologise?

Also Gemma seems to hate everyone and she isn't snarking at Ekin in a friendly way, she pulls a face at everything she says. Tasha was saying the same shit about babies and marriage and Gemma wasn't rolling her eyes at her. It shows her age, immature and arsey cause she doesn't even like her man while Ekin is enjoying her time in the villa

and what’s the point from Paige’s perspective to relate this to Gemma? Unless it’s because Paige felt so smug and chuffed hearing this.

This is going to be an unpopular opinion, but I think Luca is acting possessive and like a dick because he’s frustrated. I don’t think he would actually be like that in a normal situation

He’s frustrated he can’t show off to the world that she’s “his gurrll fwend”, but more than that, I think they are probably the only ones who haven’t shagged. I think he probably thinks the world outside sees it as he’s been rejected by her when none of the others are acting like that.

He is really insecure and so he’s acting out. He needs someone to be really lovey-dovey and to reassure him. Gemma will never be that girl.

Gemma and he speak different Love Languages, and basically, because she’s so cold he doesn’t really believe she likes him. I don’t believe she really likes him either tbh.

I agree with this. I think she’s over the entire thing. Her mood is awful. She’s sick of all the couply declarations because she’s obviously not feeling it herself and most of them are fake AF, shes over Luca and although I think she’s trying I don’t think she’s going to be able to fake it. I really think she’s going to end things tonight and that might be why we didn’t get a teaser. She looks very unhappy and the body language from both of them screams that couple who deep down know it’s over.

Interesting that the islanders didn’t get to chose the dumping, because the final vote probably suited the producers.

To let the islanders decide who to dump at this very late stage would have been wrong IMO. It’s irritating at the very least earlier in the process but right now it’s unfair, too easy to gently push [code for manipulate] and get rid of your particular competition.

Ekin is a great character in this show but she’s been trying to cause problems with Gemma/luca since early days. She’s gotten away with it because Luca is an unlikeable twat. She says her and Gemma are besties but I think that’s just to tie herself to who she believes is a popular character. She doesn’t find the other couples are a threat. Gemma and Luca are her only real competition (even tho they’re actually not) and she can barely contain her smugness now that the wheels have come off. If Gemma is side eyeing her I can see why. Ekin is brilliant tv but she’s very calculated at what she’s doing and I think this week in particular it’s become more and more obvious.

I love how men are NEVER responsible for their actions. He only pushed her cause she made him jealous, they only fought cause Ekin egged Gemma on. If Gemma was more affectionate (i.e. was "easy" and had sex with him on tv) he wouldn't be so frustrated in the first place
Luca is responsible for his own actions.
He was mad at her in that challenge, it's not been the first time he has pushed her cause he was annoyed with her.
The only reason he wanted to pretend to everyone that he was fine afterwards is because he knew he crossed a line pushing her out of anger. He needn't have worried, he is a rich white man so the world and her aunt will protect him.
Gemma is a teenager, she is not responsible for the actions of a grown man.

I can’t disagree with any of this but one thing does make me have a think .. more than once she has said “I love you”, one of those times was when she chose him at a re-coupling. I think maybe at the time she did feel she loved him. Like it’s obvious that they were mad about each other up until the last week or two but i think there’s a change in her behaviour with him in the last few episodes. Even the baby challenge and him saying about would I be a good dad to your kid and her wording in response. A few weeks ago she’d have said yes without hesitation.

Also did they cut a scene with them as press preview has them talking about football practice or something..

it could also be that because she and afia went in as bombshells, they were able to watch the first couple of episodes with the rest of us and she clocked that LI producers were trying to push gemma as the main character, so it would make sense for her to go in the villa and 1, steal the man gemma is coupled up with and 2, ally herself with gemma to stay in favour of the producers along with all of the drama she adds. yes ekin is calculated but imo it's a weird argument when all of them are in there playing the same game and also make calculated moves, it's just that she is more dramatic and obvious about it and moving ahead in the game faster than a lot of the OGs which ticks them off

This may be an unpopular opinion but I’ve spent weeks hating Luca and supporting Gemma honestly feeling she can do better but last night after her probably fake gushing over him I now dislike her as well. If that’s the sort of guy she wants then good luck to her. Plus her eye rolling when Ekin was speaking was just rude. I used to think her icy exterior was strength of character but now it’s boring and just comes across like a grumpy teenager full of attitude.
