Cochlears do not sound the same as "real" hearing.

A friend of mine was born hearing but lost his hearing due to a car accident and then got a cochlear and said it never sounded the same.

I’m sure it doesn’t sound the same as natural hearing. But her dad said she only hears robotic sounds. Robotic sound wouldn’t have tone or accents.
