The first series is basically Big Brother in the Sun, Series 2 was when the producers started tweaking more to get something that works and the third series is basically the product we see today.

Yes good summary.
But do watch Series 1, it was very differently managed, one of the islanders seemed to be practically a part of production.. but it was good, different but good with Iain Sterling was at his very best.
 
I think the boys on love Island this year sum up a lot of men in our society today, unfortunately, although I know there are good men out there. Jay and Davide are the only decent men in there. Pot kettle black making Tasha feel like a monster Andrew when you sucked Coco's tit. Yes Tasha has no clue what she wants but she does not deserve all the hate after what Andrew did. The gaslighting of women in our country by men is vile, from doctors to husbands to boyfriends. We are going back decades. Luca needs to be taken out of there for what he is doing to Gemma it is so wrong, she cannot even talk to another guy in there and he is insanely jealous and controlling. We are watching the start of domestic abuse on TV with Luca. If I was Michael Owen I would fuming, Luca is a walking red flag.

This is reaching a bit. He’s insecure and acts thr gobshite but the start of domestic abuse is a huge accusation and this is a heightened reality show.

This is how it starts though and it gets worse. Fortunately I do think Gemma will put up with it in the outside world.

Spot on. It's like for example MAFS Australia where the couples who are edited to look like bad people are the only couples that usually stay together. The two couples edited to look horrible are still together. The couples made to look sweet and lovely have all split up. It's what producers do to brain wash the viewers in to thinking what they want you to think. Best thing to do is for us not to take shows so seriously and when they leave a show make our own opinions based away from edited footage.

Season 1 and 2 were insane imo! Series 1 there was some insane fights, a marriage proposal and Italian twins from Manchester. Series 2 they were all shagging within a week... and it gave us the god that is Alex bowen 😍😍
