A lot of people let the whole Lillie thing slide because they weren’t officially together but he doesn’t even seem apologetic about hurting her in the long run. It's really horrible to see that because she literally just did her job as a Casa Amor girl (or "that girl" as Liam called her). That's what they're there to do, and it was on Liam to resist it, which he failed miserably at. And in my opinion him coming back alone was worse than if he'd brought her back, because he led her on and also it was more humiliating for Millie to get a bit of happiness only to have it snatched away.
