Love Island 2021 #27

So I wanted to derail the thread for a second if ye all don't mind and I'm not sure this post will even be read.

But the past 6 weeks on this thread has meant more to me than any of ye could possibly know . I've been in hospital 3 times during the length of Love Island with a chronic illness and getting weekly treatment when I've been physically able to .
My health and mental health has really been at all time low due to being sick. But coming on here a few times a day has helped me no end. And being live on the thread reading ,posting and watching Love Island 🏝 with ye was probably the only thing that has kept me going and made me laugh, really a deep belly laugh many times. Ye lifted my spirits no end...even with posts I may not have agreed with.
Mostly coming on here was the ONLY thing I had to look forward to each day

So thank you to all the gals and guys on this thread

Missed being on here last night as I had dinner plans, 31 pages to catch up on!! I don’t know if that means it was good or bad

As someone who did catch up, not worth it it was the heart race challenge and from what I've read on here jakes heart went crazy for kaz, there was a "but you're my girlfriend" moment to reassure lib. Faye and millie looked smoking. Millies heart rate didn't go crazy for Liam. Teddy got loads of girls hearts racing.

Pissed me off that Jake was throwing Liberty around like a sack of potatoes. He really had to do the most to make sure her heart rate went up because he didn't want any other guy getting a look in

Did anyone else notice in bed when Liberty said to Jake “I know you always say remember we are on tv” and that to me spoke volumes.

Sam Gowland from an earlier series put on his insta last night that they are told any talk about being on TV or camera is not shown, and in fairness in previous series i have never heard anyone mention being on TV before. So the fact they showed that speaks volumes to me. I bet he harps on about it all the time.
I've said from day 1 I didn't think he was in to her. She is a stunning girl and really true to herself. She deserves so much more.

I don’t blame Liberty trying to get away from that Gnome, no matter what her reasons for it. She’s kind of damned if she does, damned if she doesn’t at this point.

She works at Nando’s, she’s not an evil supervillain. I personally buy that she was taken in by his controlling nature to start with, thinking it was positive attention and is now seeing for herself that what he’s doing isn’t right and wants out.

I didn’t understand why she didn’t just walk away over to the group anyway ?

Lmkgirl - I hear you. I’ve been going through some awful medical stuff over the last few weeks and I feel exactly the same. So glad this thread has brought you a little joy. I really hope you feel better soon and that things look up for you

I don't think he's so bad tbf. There are more attractive guys in there, but I wouldn't badge him as 'ugly.' I think he's better looking than Matt ... and Priya made the right choice (is that controversial?)

I thought it was really weird that they aired that part. I'm not surprised that he's said it to her because I think they're both acting so I wouldn't be shocked to find out that they plan little scenes and storylines between them. But it seemed weird for the producers to actually show it, because it just feeds in to all the hype about how fake and set up it all is. Maybe they know it'll generate publicity

It pissed me off too! Wtf was he doing? How degrading for Liberty. Being thrown on the floor and rode like a bucking bronco I would be beyond embarrassed if that was me

I don’t know if I qlike this. If the islanders are told them talking about it won’t air I’d think they probably all talk about it to an extent so feels like producers are selling Jake out only for the sake of the story. There’s so many other reasons Liberty could be annoyed at him but this just wreaks of more producer intervention.

Yeah she’s very vacant. I’ve watched a few interviews with her and she comes off so dull. I do think Kaz and Tyler were total bellends to her but she’d be better off taking the high road.

Jake thought he was so clever- break up the other couples, do anything and everything possible to secure screen time. Holding her back when she wanted to go to the group to congratulate her best friend in there so he can make the moment about them... that was the creepiest moment of LI for me this season. I think Lib is actually a strong, moral woman and will not be afraid to dump him- her career will go astronomical after if she does instead of promoting car air fresheners like he'll try to flog. Surely companies wont want to be affiliated with him (or Faye for that matter)

Jake creeps me out big time, him holding Lib back so they could have a big show was cringe AF. Seeing Faye look at them standing there like plebs and asking what she was doing made it worse
