Why though? He doesn’t want to be a stepdad, if Jess hadnt told him about her daughter I really think he would’ve chosen Jess. I’ve seen so many people saying they should give it a try and I just don’t get it, if anything, not wanting to be a stepdad is one of the most valid reasons a man could have in not wanting to be with someoneAm I the only one who’s actually rooting for Jess and Jimmy to give it a try?
I think it was mature of him not to go into that situation blind though. It wouldn’t have been fair if he had reservations. In reality no one knows how they’re going to vibe with someone else’s children. He would’ve been more of an asshole to have chosen her knowing he was worried about the situation. He also hasn’t said at any point her child was the reason we are all just assuming. Him knowing her in person and on the outside world without the rushed proposal pressure could make things a lot different. Why though? I’m confused because your first few sentences here are agreeing with me? He definitely did the right thing not choosing Jess but he would’ve picked her for sure if she didn’t have a child. So the fact it was such a big deal for him means it makes no sense that they’d get together on the outside because ultimately Jess still has a daughter. You can’t push kids on someone who doesn’t want to be a stepdad no matter whether they ‘vibe’ or not. Also I’m pretty sure he did say Jess having a child was an issue for himI think it was mature of him not to go into that situation blind though. It wouldn’t have been fair if he had reservations. I wasn’t agreeing or disagreeing with you. My point is getting engaged to someone when you have never met their child or seen that dynamic is very different to dating someone slowly in real life and getting to know them and their child before rushing into marriage unseen. It not working in that scenario on a show is very different to the outside world. I wouldn’t want to commit my life to someone blindly without knowing their children but dating someone with kids and taking it slow is very different. Taking a risk like that is one thing but he would’ve been committing blindly to her daughter too.I’m confused because your first few sentences here are agreeing with me? crappy finances is a dealbreaker for me, but the funny thing is the Amber/Barnet precedent on LIB & they're still together (?) despite her crappy finances.AD and Clay, I was shocked by this. I do think Clay likes her but it's all too much and there is clearly a concern around finances. I'll be honest as somebody who is more practically minded than emotionally led, I got this. I would not get married to somebody who owed shed loads or had really bad credit. I feel like something happened off camera for him to bring this up without us having context.
Yeah that was funny when she dropped what a bad position she was in didn’t he sell his house to pay her debt off?? I think they’ve likely made money from social media since though. I also think she was made to look a bit of a psycho but he was into the fact she openly wanted to be submissive and to be a stay at home wife/mum. A lot of men like that energy and will happily take care of someone with that attitude.crappy finances is a dealbreaker for me, but the funny thing is the Amber/Barnet precedent on LIB & they're still together (?) despite her crappy finances.
Does anyone know if it’s true that they have to pay $50k if they pull out before the wedding day?
Curious why you think that? I think she came across as lovely throughout the show. Just wondering did I miss somethingJimmy shouldn’t hook up with Jess. She has really sly eyes and comes across as a somatic narcissist. He’s probably a nice if somewhat dull bloke that needs less drama in his life.
Maybe I was triggered . I had a friend just like her til we parted ways. She had fake eyelashes, nails, boobs, regular botox, teeth whitening, hair extensions and was obsessed with how she looked. I got similar vibes from Jess.Curious why you think that? I think she came across as lovely throughout the show. Just wondering did I miss something
