Just leaving this here...

She’s a dick, I can imagine her throwing a strop over this. She is very lucky she wasn’t asked to stand down from her role as a chaperone tbh. She needs to realise that she has volunteered to do a certain role for the kids, it is not to give her behind the scenes access to be able to film for her social media. She seems so desperate to push D into the spotlight that she has lost sight of anything else.

Just came here to talk about this! I’m sure when they told her not to post anything else they would have told her the reasons behind it and she’s acting the victim! The safety of all children involved should be the priority, not promoting your teen wannabe influencer
Honestly can’t believe she’s acting the victim in all of this. And I can’t tell if she’s just ignorant or blatantly doesn’t give a tit about the safeguarding of others children. Just because she exploits her own children doesn’t mean other parents want that too.

I wasn't aware that chaperone licenses were issued by the council but knowing that, then OF COURSE they would object to one of the chaperones filming the children backstage and sharing it with her thousands of followers!

She should be MORTIFIED that this had to be pointed out to her but the really scary thing is that it had to be. It's also pretty worrying that the production company and the theatre also thought it was ok. And even worse, there doesn't seem be even the slightest suggestion from her post that she understands why. Just because she's happy to live in a world entirely dictated by social media doesn't mean everyone else does, particularly where their children are involved.

You have to have a DBS check thing. My dance teacher has to ensure that the chaperones at our shows are DBS checked by the council.
Surely the production company will have its own social media person who takes content of the actual show!

I’m glad she was called out - I have been a chaperone both in a volunteer and professional capacity (you require a license for both) and it is made clear to you what the role of a chaperone is, it’s not to make content it is to safeguard the children in your care. A quick google would tell Louise that.

I wonder if Darcy’s success in getting a role in the panto was based on Louise’s profile. Northampton’s very own Nepo baby

Refuse to believe there isn't some guidance or rules on photography/social media when you sign up as a chaperone, I've checked a few council chaperone rules and they mention it.
Every time I have been a chaperone the rules have been clear - phones shouldn’t be used. On occasion selected chaperones have been given permission to take photos with parents consent but they aren’t to be shared on public social media. I was flabbergasted when Louise used those panto kids for content on her accounts

Exactly, she is not only missing the huge safeguarding aspects of taking and sharing photos but she also needs to focus on the actual role itself, not being preoccupied with what she can use for her Social Media.

I don’t beleive for one second she was asked to create content. My daughter is performing at the very same theatre next year and if I found out that some has been influencer was filming her and uploading content featuring her however small I’d be livid, she can exploit her own kids all she wants but to me it’s almost an abuse of power because the kids she was filming surely know via darcey of Louise’s following. To kids like that being exposed to an audience like Louise is a dream so they’d jump at the chance without being made fully aware of the consequekves

she likely only wanted the role so she could use it for #dancemom content. guaranteed she'll "coincidentally" lose interest in being a chaperone if she can't exploit it all over social media. 🙄

yep, guarantee it’s a made up story she’s used to cover up the fact she got called out and told off about her unsafe behaviour and she’s had to stop posting about it, so she decided to make up a tale about why she’s not posting about it anymore a la ‘i got last minute invited tothe wicked premiere but not going bc mental health’
As if anyone at any company wanted her ‘content’ about days and times Darcy was performing for fucks sake. I call bullshit. Personally offended by safeguarding rules for children, what a shame x

I don't believe she was ever asked to create content. I think she's lying about that. I do believe that she had to be told to stop filming on numerous occasions. It's never her fault though, is it? Her behaviour around Darcy's show was not only embarrassing, it was dangerous, and somehow she's still playing the victim?! Horrible woman.

I'm also surprised she wasn't asked to step down as a chaperone.

I cannot believe she’s trying to use the “poor old me, I didn’t know it was wrong and I don’t want to cause trouble” angle - in what world is it acceptable to record child performers without parental permission to share to millions of strangers? And if anyone actually has called the theatre and asked for the days/times Darcy is performing then they should be telling her off for that too!

She'll definitely use this as an excuse now to stop chaperoning or to not have Darcy be involved next year, and it'll be just like the coparenting questions where she'll address it by going 'oh we just decided not to do it anymore because there were some things that made me a bit upset but I won't go into it' where she tries to get engagement without telling the full story
