In my opinion, they should've gotten married years ago. Purely for legal reasons. I think it was irresponsible to wait this long. They have children involved both inside (Pearl) and outside (Darcy) of the relationship, they had already (essentially) merged finances by sharing bills, they moved in together, etc.... with no legal protections. That could've gone very wrong for everyone involved if something bad happened.

There's also a huge elephant in the room of how Louise basically had to beg Liam to get engaged. For years. Which is such a red flag, because why did Liam need to think about it for so long? They already had a kid together, which is a much bigger commitment. She even bought herself a ring and got fake-engaged to herself in a video out of desperation. It was kind of sad to watch, actually.

The whole thing just seems like a contradictory awkward mess and I feel like their engagement is somewhat tainted because of it.

I think the proposal wasn’t super quick because they essentially only stayed/got back together because of Pearl. So Liam probably wanted to wait and be sure before popping the Q.

Do you really think they have merged finances ? Her wealth would be considerably more than his and she will have protected it . Based on the reinvented engagement ring I wouldn’t be surprised if she paid for the one she wears now .

I don't think Liam is a slouch though, his salary as someone pretty high up in the police would be good, plus a considerable pension and benefits and his is stable and probably growing - I imagine her income is declining and mostly relies on investments like property rather than social media now. Plus she has the additional cost of Darcy coming from her side, whereas Liam has no other kids to support. I very much doubt she's making from YouTube and 'THE OTHER APP' what she used to make in the brit crew heyday. SO overall, as long as they stay together, it would somewhat even out over time.

I think she was either asked or said herself in a YouTube video that there may be a prenup. She has property too and is a tight rich person.

Yes I remember back in the day she actually said she went to a solicitors to get everything sorted to protect Darcy and her. I’m sure she said Liam was still married just separated that’s why there was no rush to jump straight in. Also pretty sure she said she had saved for Darcy’s first home and she was working on Pearls. She said Liam earns considerably less than her (if she took 400k last year) even the Chief Constable of Police doesnt earn that! For sure there’s a pre-nup.

That’s why I clarified and said “essentially merged finances by sharing bills.” No, I don’t think they literally merged finances and got a joint account…obviously she kept a lot of it separate.

However, make no mistake, living together with someone and sharing bills IS merging finances in a way. They’re still financially entwined. It’s still going to be nightmare for them to break up even if they never get married.

Whether they get married or not, splitting their lives up if they separated would be very messy financially etc. lawyers in a divorce would be rubbing their hands at the fees they could charge dealing with Louise trying to keep as much as possible.

Yeah she was insecure about being an unmarried woman giving birth (religion creeping in on her conscious) and so thought she’d wear a ring to at least give off the impression someone wanted to marry her rather than a pump and dump.

It was in the new house, she had been with Liam a while by this point because I remember she invited Esther over and told her she was engaged, Esther got excited and then Louise butted un with "to myself" and Esther looked really disappointed 😂😂 I don't think she got the response she wanted from Esther at all 😂 I vividly remember because it was so funny and uncomfortable to watch 🫠🙃
 
Louise likes to see her 13 year old being an influencer (of course she does)
