The bit that gets me is that 'baby glitter' gif of her rolling her eyes. I have friends who have used that as a reaction without knowing who she is or what its from. I've known mean girls who would get a kick out of using that against her.
i was aware of that baby glitter eye roll gif, but i didn't realise quite how many baby glitter gifs there actually are - a simple google search reveals just how many there are, and gifs of herself as a toddler are far more likely to make Darcy feel "silly" than her sharing a photo of her dressed in her supposed world book day outfit which, if she is aware may make Darcy feel embarrassed, she shouldn't be posting all over social media anyway. poor kid. 😔

Also Darcy is 11 years old. She’s too young to have unmonitored access to social media. Why is she reading comments on her mums instagram posts anyway?

Also whilst it’s not particularly nice surely Darcy is not completely oblivious that in life not everyone is nice to each another. It’s that naivety that concerns me, either Darcy is maturer and hides it well or she genuinely is a very young 11 year old.

Louise seems to treat her like she’s Pearl’s age all the time but then is dragging her to see Six the musical which isn’t particularly child friendly, I love it but I’m a mature adult. Did Darcy even get half the jokes and insinuations in that production?

Six is tame compared to the terrible Andrew Lloyd webber Cinderella that she took her to two or three times. It is sexist, calls people with mental health issues 'loons' and is downright disableist. Yet lady Louise has zero problems with it because the tickets were #gifted and her BFF and fellow bully Carrie no hope Fletcher was in it!

Thankfully I haven’t seen the Cinderella show, it sounds horrific though and completely agree that it’s a far cry from the Be Kind persona Louise strives to portray. But like you say #gifted makes a lot of issues seemingly disappear with influencers.

realistically though, 11 year old do use social media, so even if Darcy didn't have access, she will have classmates who see the stuff Louise shares on IG, which will make Darcy feel "silly" and humiliated when other kids are taunting her and using Louise's content as bullying ammunition.

and that's overlooking the fact that despite Louise being an NSPCC ambassador who focuses on protecting children 🙄 we know Darcy uses IG, as it was only recently that Louise was constantly sending "i miss you" messages to her via stories every time D was with her dad! whether Darcy has her own account - as loads of younger kids do, with a "parent managed account" disclaimer to bypass the age restrictions - or whether she is viewing Louise's stories without an account, Louise is clearly very aware that her daughter has access to IG and all the comments on the posts she shares about her dancing etc, thus she knows she is exposing Darcy to negative and critical comments about her dancing, plus comments from people invested in her dancing for creepy reasons, complimenting her on photos posed in leotards etc. so much for child safety, eh Louise? 😡

Is Louise surprised that a 5 year old would care more about sweets than standing being made to pose for pictures in front of a river?

The Guide leader in me says yes, promote the duck out of Girlguiding*, go full Rainbow Mum and help out regularly so your followers all decide to volunteer too - but my sensible brain says oh god, please stay away, please don't do to Pearl's Rainbows what you did to Darcy's dancing.

*the Scouts have Bear Grylls. The Guides have... Sophie Wessex.

Saw this and immediately thought of Lady Louise. Parents are encouraged to exploit their children for likes and views and engagement and there are no laws in place to protect them, no laws to make the parents save up that money for their future like child actors, etc. Children should not be used to sell things online, even if they "agree". An acting job occurs outside the home on a set somewhere. There is a clear delineation between work and home for child actors. For influencer kids there is no separation and no privacy.
