Okay but although wearing all black in a hot climate during the day seems a odd choice I actually like the outfit.. even the shoes!! It’s been a while since I’ve been able to say I’ve liked a full Lizzy outfit. Also she looks genuinely happy for once. I mean she likes walking about in search of coffee, shopping and quiet spots to read so surly Italy covers that nicely? And if she was back and forth but visiting/ spending time with a elderly relative that she holds in such high regard I think that would justify the constant air travel a bit more. I hope this trip helps her centre in on what she really wants and it reinvigorates her content.

I think she is just desperate to be seen as cool girl although living in Tropea, reading, eating, drinking coffee, going for swims and seeing her uncle seem much more her pace. Plus she'd be closer to Linda in Lisbon but unfortunately Italy just doesn't fit into the Halpin aesthetic.

Linda don’t you dare call this an outfit. Don’t stoop to Elizabeth’s level. You still have some semblance of excitement in your life! No need to dress like you’ve got a zoom meeting

Books - gosh her book reviews, well lack off are a turn off, she doesn't know how to articulate herself, so she never describes what the book she has supposedly read (sped through) is about and so she never gives an intelligible opinion about said book. She describes books in the same way she describes an item of clothing or shoes she likes, so it comes off as performative.

Also I think a lot of the stuff she reads goes over a head (which is fine I suppose that's what reading is sometime about right?).

Linda is defiantly Lizzie's frenemy. I think it will do Lizzy good to be apart from Linda.

I liked her 'phase' before London even more. When she did a haul and then styled each piece in three different ways to see if it would fit in her wardrobe. Or when she would make moodboards when a new season started, just to get inspired (instead of shop).
Writing this makes me think I should go back and rewatch those videos!
