She also changes her skincare more often than people change their sheets. She’s always getting new gifted products, it’s no wonder her skin is chronically freaking out. If you have sensitive skin, you’re supposed to introduce new products one at a time so you can assess your skin’s reaction. And anything with active ingredients will take at least a month to notice any changes.

Ugh, this really makes me dislike Sézane even more. Truly this brand has become such a scam -- quality is super poor especially given the price point, styling is nothing special and just surfs on the bullshit idea of French girls (where French girl = Parisienne exclusively of course), sizing is tit, their photos are so heavily edited you can't make out the true colour, I can't stand their cutesy communication style and now they partner with a wannabe book club. Yawn
 
The aestheticization and commodification of reading and books leaves me with complicated feelings. Yes great more people are reading and young people think it’s a cool pastime to have, and I can even appreciate the reading salon-like vibe Buffy’s is trying to cultivate

but then I also stumbled upon a YouTube video of someone who decided they wanted to start reading so they just BOUGHT 1000 dollars worth of popular books (including entire series) and filled a massive bookcase with them. Insanity

AMEN.

I feel like the Basic French Girl bs has run its course. Who even is interested in their clothing anymore besides suburban millennials? At this point, their Instagram looks like a worse version of J. Crew, even though their prices are almost twice as expensive.

Ok for the longest time I've been trying to figure out what Sezane reminded me of and you're right. It's J.Crew post Jenna Lyons! I would totally buy their stuff (I'm usually pretty good picking out the stuff that's worth the money), but how they haven't bothered extending their sizing really grates on me. Not all of us are SKINNY FRENCH GIRLS, OKAY?!?

Also her style and how she puts items together just looks awful. I don’t get how she is still classed as a ‘fashion influencer’
