Someone mentioned that something must have shown up in the mammogram, she said after the mammogram that she needed to have an ultrasound because she had so little breast tissue and in people with small ‘boobs’ the tissue is denser so needs an ultrasound. In my experience, both through family and friends, they generally take a biopsy there and then if they don’t like what they see . I know there can be exceptions but I’ve yet to meet anyone who didn’t have both together.
They do ultrasound and biopsy together if see something as time is crucial.its takes nearly week for biopsy come back.reason do biopsy with ultrasound same day is they use the ultrasound screen to guide in needle yo take biopsy.

I had a mammogram done, my breasts are a 40d, they saw something and sent me down the same day for a scan for clarity. Nothing to do with small breasts or dense tissue!! They tend to complete the first two steps before actually moving to biopsy if at all possible. In my case, I was lucky, I had a cyst, but it was all done and dusted on the same day … something ain’t adding up here?

💯 this. Most people would take time to digest, perhaps share with their other half, family members. Only share when there is a need to share. This one is an attention seeking twit. Its all me me me. All a big drama over possibly nothing.
And with the short timescale involved yesterday I don't think she'd have had time to go tell her parents in person. She must have rung them while on the road home so she could get it up on Insta ASAP. Desperate carry on. You'd wonder is this playing out in real time at all, or has she known for longer than she's letting one. Something very odd anyway.

When I saw she said oncoplastic I usually would equate that to oncology. Normally an oncoplastic consultant deals with a person who has cancer and they want the best results for the appearance of the breast after surgery. I think she's only put that post up to gain attention. Women who haven't yet been diagnosed with breast cancer wouldn't say 'I'm meeting up with a oncoplastic breast surgeon ' My mum has breast cancer and it was mammogram ultrasound and biopsy on same day. She didn't meet up with the surgeon until a few weeks later when it was confirmed she had cancer.

Would the oncoplastic surgeon be the one who diagnoses you and tells you you have cancer, or is that done by another doctor? Non surgeon maybe?

Edit: And she manages to sandwich in an unmarked ad for Crystals and Co in the midst of all the talk about her 'little boobies' 🙄

In my mum's case it was the surgeon who met with my mum and gave her the diagnosis as she had to discuss the surgery with her but the nurse specialist said to me that if she didn't have the cancer diagnosis then it would have been one of the other doctors but she had to see surgeon to discuss details as my mum is elderly and they wanted the best outcome for her..to be honest I'm not really sure as I'm sure it's different for everyone. My friend whos in her 50s was referred to an oncoplastic surgeon in Dublin as they were doing a reconstruction. I think LLL is just throwing out that surgeons title to make her feel important.

As someone who has had cancer and still having (thankfully yearly now) scans, This one is really getting on my bleeping nerves. Causing unnecessary worry for people watching her stories. Smaller breasts does not mean they are more dense. You could have a whopping pair and they could be dense. The breast density thing has 100% come from Oonagh as I messaged her when she had her stories up to mention breast density (this is why it is so dangerous for these gobshites to be sharing stuff like this). Mammogram and ultrasound and biopsy are all done on the same day IF they suspect something. If you go private it is the breast consultant/surgeon who gives the results of histology or if public, sometimes it can be the consultants reg who tells you.

Look she’s a narcissist I said last night she wouldn’t go to the party and she came on this morning to say ‘last night I wasn’t going’ she’s been spoilt and pandered to all her life and now someone else is getting attention. Also a sit down dinner for 200 people and all Lisa got was five people in House Dublin and a free holiday to Barcelona staying in her fellas brothers. She’s seething with jealousy so is shifting the attention. No doubt she’ll be asked all night how she is is she ok etc

Bragging again Lisa...does she ever tire of showing off ....did she use more vouchers I wonder.. poor sheep buying her tat so she can buy only the best for herself...

Jesus this effing gobshite and all her hysteria will do nothing to reassure women of the process. I'm totally confused as to what happens and she'd make you worried about the whole thing.

Please do not be worried about it. Mammograms are a few seconds of being uncomfortable but they save lives, If anything doesn't look right on a mammo, an ultrasound is done and maybe a biopsy. I was 32 when I was diagnosed and advocate for younger women to get checked if something is not right. This bollix enrages me. she can't even use the word breasts.

Totally agree. Do not listen to this ones hysteria. Honestly she’s doing this for attention. Sakes must be slowing down and she’s trying to up the attention.

I hope to god it shows how vacuous she really is.

I went back for my results of biopsy and it was consultant who give me the news and he goes through results plans surgey explains everything.Gives you time to digest news might need mri in between next app which be following week then it's all go surgey lymph nodes. My consultant did surgey reconstruction. Then it's another waiting game for 2 weeks for results.Lymph nodes and all tissue they removed sent to America for testing. That let them know if spread grate etc. This is then used for oncology to decide treatments

Can feel the rage here myself. My late Mum passed away from a different cancer so I can only go with you guys. She was admitted to A+E one night last year, xray machine was down and when she got xray eventually they sent her for ultrasound within a couple of hours and shortly after said they saw spots, MRI done the following morning where they saw more spots in her pancreas which was the primary. Biopsy followed and we had definitive results a week later with bad news. She lasted another 8 weeks but honestly all that knew were immediate family until her last week. Mum did not want people coming in for a nose or knowing her business. Only my close friends who helped with childcare knew. It most certainly was not all over social media.

Her whole business of telling the world and their mother what’s happening is like those people who check into hospital and everyone is “you alright hun” and they reply”I’ll pm you”. Attention seeking twats.

Remember last year she had a very teary few days 'waiting on news' for something, maybe to do with her or her mother possibly but then, phew, all was OK without her going in to this much detail, #ad; #checkyourtits; she's a charlatan, I don't believer a word of it, sorry.
