So if Buckells was the top man... Why was he set up in the Gail Vella case? Did he order the files to be hidden in his own car? And why did he nearly wee himself in his cell when Jimmy Lakewell was murdered in front of him? Surely he would have ordered it?
If he was right in that it was separate smaller OCGs, no real ‘big’ leader, then I guess ordered by one of the OCGs to stop him talking? If he isn’t directly in charge just fixing things then still worth silencing

Totally agree. Don’t know what happened there.

I think Buckells is taking the rap for Osbourne. Unfortunately I don’t think the actor who played Buckells was skilled enough to get across what Jed was trying to portray: a horrid little man out for himself who didn’t care how many people got killed, as long as he made his money.
Jo could have smashed that, imagine her doing a total 180 and pulling it out the bag

What a disappointing finale! This meme sums it up.

So disappointed with the ending. If Buckells was the 4th man and communicating with Jo why would she plant stuff in his car to get him framed. Why would he not have steered her to someone else and keep the heat off him.
Also Buckells is in the jail so who forged the police application to get Jo to the interview ?
My disappointment would have been eased some what if Steve and Kate had got it on 😍

Someone helped Buckells progress to the point where a jobsworth idiot was In a position to facilitate OCG activity? Or is it yet another layer of mundanity whereby fools do get promoted and get on in this world.

I think it’s a massive commentary on how far average white men can go.
How many of us know utter dingbats in positions of authority
I worked for an absolute twerp, he left, went to another firm, the general view there was he was a bloody fool and yet he got a massive promotion 🤷‍♀️

but after bin laden was killed isn’t that exactly how al qaeda operates???? There is no big mastermind. Maybe this is how ocg operated after Tommy Hunter died

It's this chap apparently, Ayman al-Zawahiri.

(no, I've never heard of him either, and don't recognise him)
