If she is or was H she would have known that through Dot and Ackers, both of whom were corrupt and at the behest of H, because the order to kill Tommy was to protect the corrupt higher ups including H.

If H is one of the main 3 I will be furious and feel robbed of all the time and emotional investment. I’d love Tommy to be alive but it still doesn’t explain whose the top dog is...
i think it would be delicious
What a twist
The BETRAYAL....

Buckells is the perfect 'twist' option for H/the 4th man. He’s been in 3 series, connected to many past and present characters and assigned to OCG cases including the Jackie Laverty murder (S1), Operation Trapdoor (S4), Gail Vella murder (S6) and the Lawrence Christopher case (historical). There are enough lingering questions about him and they wouldn't have to explain away too much stuff.

Plus you'd have the super satisfying reveal of the central villain dropping his foolish disguise to reveal his true character.

Could be true but then why would he be so scared when he was in the cell with Bakewell if hes the top man?

this omg ive been trying to apply gossip girl logic to this whole series but it's got me nowhere bc it's not logical
Haha guess there’s no need to watch GG now! 😂

I kind of liked the Steve theory but then remembered he got thrown down a flight of stairs.. back to the drawing board 😂🤦🏻‍♀️
He could’ve been thrown down the stairs for all sorts of reasons not because he’s AC12 ...
Perhaps H is soooo secretive some factions either don’t know who he really is or trying to kill him...or a rival OCG?
Kate on the other hand has come out of this relatively unscathed 🤔 wonder why....

Craig Parkinson responded to the Kate is H theory with “I’m not saying anything but they’ve obviously been very observation throughout every series... 😏
What does that even mean Craig????😂
Re: Craig’s podcast I think because he’s now seen the last episode I don’t think we can trust anything he says. If we think he’s pointing us in the direction of someone - they’re probably innocent at this point.

The reason I think it was someone in Jo’s interview room is because she was only half talking to them. Some questions she’d answer, others she wouldn’t. Because she knows who H is, and they were in the room. And she knew if she spilled she’d be killed? 🤔 but that she’d be safe otherwise because H is present for the interview so will know exactly what she said and whether she can be trusted..

So under that premise
was Steve responsible for Lakewell’s death??
Steve was in his interview and we think Lakewell said something important to Steve too we haven’t seen yet.
So would that make Steve a suspect in Lakewell’s death but an OCG ally in Jo’s interview because she didn’t rat??

My thoughts exactly. It would be even worse than the Dan-is-GG IMO. Not a clever twist, just a decision made for shock value rather than being logical.
That’s why if some minor character suddenly rocks up as H I’ll be super pissed.
The betrayal and subsequent DRAMA of one of Hastings ‘kids’ playing him like an Irish fiddle for 10 years would be *chefskiss*

I realise this may not be a popular opinion for the Kate must be protected at all costs fans.
At least if it’s Steve or his mate Kate there would be some logic to it.
Osborne or Carmichael or even Thurwell -dead - or not - as H (and explained in just an hour) would be deeply unsatisfying.

think I’d prefer Buckells dropping the idiot act and revealing himself to be a superbrain supervillain would be better.

that or a cane looming into view followed by Neil Morrissey...

Maybe H listened to the DIR?

Everything you’ve just said is *chefskiss*

Lakewell trusted Steve enough to tell him about the case Vella was looking into in the back of the prison van and then waited until Hastings had gone from the interview room to do his “that’s right isn’t it?” to Steve so if anything it all makes Hastings more of a candidate.
