Just caught up. That was an odd episode. I don’t get the car chase, am gutted Ryan has gone so quickly and don’t get why Jo was so concerned Kate believed her given the wider tit show going on.
Also, why on earth did Kate even meet her there in the first place given OCG have a history of just killing on sight?

Season 4 and Ian Buckles answers a call and says 'Jez, how are ya'. Wasnt Jez the name of the detective in season 2 that abducted Lindsay Denton after the prison van crash? Coincidence?

He died in series 2. Beaten to death by his partner in crime. Which helped me get over the shock of poor Georgia’s demise out of the hospital window

Apologies if this has been said already (just caught up just now) and I hate to be that person if it hasn’t...but there are no Coroners in Scotland so “Glasgow Coroner Court” couldn’t have been involved in Jo’s mum’s death

I’ve seen loads of people suggesting Jo’s (not biological) dad the bent copper is Thurwell, which is fair but then that he raised her with her mum and then her mum ran off to Spain with him and that’s why there were two bodies.

Yes, because that makes perfect sense when she told Jo she’d been raped by the bent copper and forced to keep the pregnancy .

I think her poor mum was probably abused by him and Tommy and thought it was the least worst option to say her dad was the copper - if you just wanted to cover the Tommy connection surely she’d have just said it was a teen fling or something.

Not sure if Carmichael is bent or not, possibly like Buckell’s she knows or suspects who is but is not involved. I would actually like her to be the forth man. She’s dead ruthless, efficient and focused-excellent crime boss quality’s. The other suspects are a bit boring and samey-evil, white man nearing retirement age. That and I thought it was interesting that Jo said it was the police fraction of the OCG that got Tommy murdered, I don’t know why, just that maybe that is an indication that the scary murder your family style OCG are being picked of by police-dead easy to leak intel and get a few firearms officers to do your dirty work, and let’s face it society is hardly mourning them and demanding enquiry.

Presumably 'Mr and Mrs Thurwell' have been murdered. The Home Office aren't going to accept the word of one Spanish cop about the identity of an ex-high ranking UK police officer, with a dodgy reputation, who has died in suspicious circumstances. They are going to want proof; samples of DNA etc. They would possibly even send their own pathologist to do a post mortem. If it isn't him it might give him time to disappear but I don't think anybody is going to believe he's dead.

If we remember how she talked to her hubby Courgette on the phone she was well aware of how deep he was in undercover.
That money in her loft I don’t think has anything to do with Ted. I think probably Courgette was sending her a steady stream of dirty money to help her out while he was ‘away’

Found it a bit slow, not sure why Kate took off with Jo? Also I think Carmichael is either H but I think it could be (more likely) she has a sneaking suspicion who H is and is trying to do everything by the book to catch them and have them banged to rights. But she will die in the process.
I hope H is revealed in the next episode because it’s dragging on a bit...(plus I’ve accused everyone including my own Mum of being H so the madness needs to stop).

I think Kate went off with Jo purely to try and uncover the whole thing. If she stayed with Ryan’s body there wouldn’t have a been a chance to get away. In the end she didn’t manage it but I think that was her intention to go off ahead and see what Jo could potentially lead her to . She knew if she stopped she wouldn’t have a chance, what with Carmichael, procedures, jo being In danger of being killed off by corrupt officers or ocg before they could uncover anything. I think that’s why she was so hell bent on getting away in Steve’s car

Her mum didn’t run off to Spain to be found dead with Thurwell. Especially when they revealed in the glass box interview that Jo’s mum died by suicide years ago. It is not possible she could be the female dead body in Spain next to the assumed Thurwell.
