As an oyster aficionado myself, I cringed when she said she wants to eat oysters so she can get an oyster plate. Get this woman off the internet now.

Also hilarious she tells Jake to pace himself because he wants to eat more oysters. Let him eat his oysters! And it's not like they fill you up anyway. Sounds to me she was rushing him to move on so they could get to what she wanted.

Sometimes I find the posts in this thread overly critical of Lily (don’t hate me), but WOW she came across really ungrateful in the birthday vlog. Firstly, she’s turning 37, and I’ve never known anyone so obsessed with getting loads of presents at that age, cringe! She pretty much knew everything she was getting - fair enough - but even though she got everything she wanted, she still seemed largely ungrateful for most of it. She was also super possessive over the kids not opening her presents or touching them once open. I’d let my kids open my presents for me I think it’s quite a nice idea to take your birthday off work (if you have a real job) and spend it with your husband/partner/whoever, but that day was literally just Lily dragging Rich around the shops and spending money on herself. Think I’d prefer to just go for a nice lunch and actually spend quality time with that person. Lily can and does go shopping any day of the week.

This is exactly what I did for my birthday last week. My husband took the day off and my mum and nana kindly looked after the baby and picked up the bigger kids from school. We had a really lovely (boozy!!!) lunch and then went home and had birthday cake with my kids and family. Everyone got into pyjamas (us and the kids) and we all sat in our bedroom. The funny thing is that my husband asked if I wanted to go shopping but I just wanted to get extra dessert and go home.

And so we end the year on oysters that taste like the sea, too many tourists in a London tourist hotspot where she went as a tourist, and wanting more 'starter-y' bits....

I don’t understand what pleasure can be gained from birthday gifts when she must get a ton of PR gifts on a daily basis. The consumption is just disgusting, influencer culture is just gross.
She should go some volunteering or something constructive where she has to engage with normal people not just the influencer bubble she lives in.

I think she’s seen some of Hannah Ricketts‘ videos. Hannah is a better presenter though and has been doing the „walking through shops“ kind of content for much longer.
