Why does Lily always have dirt under her nails?

Wow. A whole series of stories talking about how "nobody tells you" 😂😂 that once you have kids all the magic goes from Christmas because you become Santa.

Now, I would say the magic is a million times stronger since having kids because of that exact reason! I love creating this incredible warm experience for them, and seeing their little faces!

But not our Lils. If she's not the one being babied then she's miserable.

Is there a single thing that she does like about being a parent?

Maybe you shouldn't have had kids Lily, it's not your children's fault that you're a joyless sack of misery any season of the year.
 
She loves this week because she is not working 'and not with the kid's because they are still in school. Oh, and she doesn't like the 'magic' being gone because now as a parent she has to be Santa.

She so regrets having kids.

Edit to say, told my husband this and he said 'She is dead inside. The magic returns because you see it through their eyes. She's not human'

So much for shoot ready nails. Oh wait, she has alrdy signed off for the year. She can be her happy dirty self.

The whole series of Santa and present wrapping ramble and asking about christmas meal traditions is so fking stupid, and she clearly is bored and wanted to come online and engage with her followers with her usual oversharing.
The way she talks about how her sister decided to host & eat at 4pm is the worst. She said that means her kids have to eat by brunch time. Wtf? Why cant they all just eat together.

- that canape reel, her hair parting is so bad and filled with spikey white hairs that are all sticking out, there is one strand that is extra dry shiny and so obvious. Georgia didnt point it out? Generally the hair growing out around the hair parting is dry, frizzy, extra curly, and caked in dry shampoo.

- her schwepps ad - she is wearing her fugly jeans with that embellished jacket - soooo festive. Also her nails are bare, wont they burgundy lately? How early ago was this filmed?

- finally, I know I am a broken record and it really isnt her fault but her forehead lines are so bad. She is 37, but she hasnt aged well, and thats really her fault - she doesnt really have very good self-care habits (which has nothing to do with whether she a “busy mom” or not).

The way she's so controlling over the meals is so strange. They don't eat normal dinners together; the kids eat before them. And now she's saying they don't set up a kids' table so they have a place to eat while the adults enjoy their Christmas meal? It's just bizarre. Or set the kids up in front of the TV with their plates watching a movie. She appears to regret having kids but then makes life with them so unnecessarily difficult to manage.

I think it's great that she's trying to introduce Hanukkah traditions with the kids, but again it feels so forced. These sorts of traditions should come about organically. And I'm assuming her parents didn't really celebrate while she and her sisters were growing up because they wanted Lily and her sisters to not feel excluded from Christian-leaning school or community festivities. In my mind, it's similar for first generation kids born of immigrants - completely integrated into English language and western customs so the kids aren't othered (but in the process losing connection to heritage/language).
 
The ‘magic’ disappears from Christmas many years before you have kids (unless you are a young teen mum I suppose!). For sure having kids brings the magic back. I’m excited for my baby to get to enjoy Christmas next year and to get them a stocking from Father Christmas even thought they won’t have a clue what’s going on and will just like the wrapping paper and fairy lights. I bet Lily didn’t bother with her kids first Christmas as they won’t remember so it’s pointless. Probably wrapped up some things they already owned and didn’t bother with a stocking.
I feel like Lily probably still insisted her parents did her a stocking until she’s had kids despite being a grown woman in her 30s.
She is so unbelievably bitter about having had kids with how much they have spoiled everything for her and is so self absorbed indeed.
 
Also the irony of this coming from an influencer, when every day of the week she is showered with “gifted” products and being taken to luxurious events, invited to freebie trips, being sent vouchers etc. If anyone is living Christmas every day, it’s Lily. She’s unbelievable. Spoilt brat.

She should just fucking give up trying to strong-arm her hair into straightness. It is never going to happen, and will always look appalling. I have similar hair (hello Ashkenazi genes) and the day I surrendered to its natural condition was a revelation and a relief.

As a single mum I’ve got not presents, I couldn’t give a shit, I absolutely love wrapping present got my kids I take my time after they’ve gone to bed with a glass of wine and some Christmas music.
She’s a nasty piece of work and needs to remember everything put on the internet will be there for her kids to find one day.
