I usually just lurk on these threads, so apologies for barging in - but do other people seriously make these elaborate lunches for real, or is it just for content? If I’m working from home or off work it’s generally a variation on something on toast (beans, scrambled eggs), soup, or a sandwich. I tend to make batches of soup and freeze them in bags, and if my partner’s also working from home one of us might go out and get “posh bread” to have with that if we’re feeling particularly fancy. (Or if there’s time with the Teams calls and the actual working.)

TBH Lily doesn’t make elaborate lunches either unless it’s for YouTube. She actually buys in overpriced excessively packaged sandwiches or sushi from M&S or orders from Deliveroo. I’m with you… it’s a small bowl of soup, egg on toast or a basic sandwich in our house. I certainly wouldn’t be spending that much money every day on convenience food when I’m sat in my own kitchen surrounded by plenty of food in the cupboards! Every time I see it I’m still a little shocked. More money than sense.

I think this was posted before but it is truly so laughable I'm enjoying seeing it again. For procrastination's sake I'm trying to imagine what she could possibly be talking about and nope. She wears the most ho hum casual shirt and pants combos nearly everyday of her boring life and is usually underdressed compared to her influencer colleagues at events, nevermind actual professionals, and nothing about her getups correspond uniquely to city life unless she thinks everyone outside of cities is done up in overalls and a straw hat. She's such an embarrassment.

Absolutely not! A quick sarnie is ambitious for me!

"I just went inside the amazing building full of fascinating rare items with profound stories to buy some knick knacks." Yeah we know, bitch.

I give Katie Snooks so much fucking grief for being an absolute moron who exaggerates her entirely average interests as so "geeky", but shit at least she has some. Not-rock choir is like the most """cerebral""" Lily gets.

Noooooo. If I don't prep it the night before or have in mind exactly what I'm going to eat, my eating goes to shit because I genuinely dont have time or the mental capacity to think about it. I like em the nutritionists recipes and they're pretty easy but again, unless I've prepped them the day before its not happening. Or I will put an alarm on to remind me to bake my potato in the air fryer.

Please note though Lily looks completely useless in the kitchen and appears to have created more mess than my ten year old making a salad...
