I know where she lives because I grew up about 10 mins up the hill and believe me....it's suburban. Don't get me wrong it's nice but it is not raising kids in central London (and again, my choice we love where we live) but nothing she says or talks about or huffs about is remotely close to what it's like living smack bang in the centre of a busy city. For example - we don't have a car, it's tube, walking, bus, cab, uber. We do not have a garden...if we want to go outside...we go to the park. There's always construction - she complains about a helicopter every 3 weeks? I live next to four cranes...and a flight path. like come on Lily.
Those shoe choices just goes to show how little she does abroad. Aka where are the shoes suitable for walking all day? I know everyone travels differently and there's nothing wrong with taking some time to chill in a hot environment, but that's all she ever does. Her kids deserve more than that imo. Take them out exploring, town or nature, take them to visit museums or cultural attractions etc. hanging around a resort all the time, every time doesn't sound very stimulating for them not does it teach them much so what's the point of hassling with international travel with two young kids.
Can’t wait for the post-vacation rant about how nobody told her to take trainers or any kind of hiking shoes. That rant will result in her hunting for the perfect vacation walking shoes, which will be forgotten by the time she goes on another vacation. Of course, if anyone dare suggestion them now, she’d claim that she thought she could wear trainers only in a city, never thought of them as vacation shoes
cue to her moaning about getting blisters or not being able to walk long distance i thought the golden rule was 1 pair of sandals + 1 pair of sturdier shoes for walking, unless you are just sitting on your bum the entire time
It's all so boring. She overthinks everything. Just chuck what you love/like in your case and go. But like everyone you never wear everything and wish you had only packed half the stuff but that's life and some people don't even get to go on holiday.
The most voted title suggestion by ANiceEgg, inspired by @Violetroselily 's comment. Basically, Lily is going away and overthinking her holiday wardrobe, in order to spend money on clothes she doesn't need and won't wear beyond the vacation. She apparently hasn't got a clue after "years" of...
