American here — we typically have hard boiled eggs rather than soft boiled eggs.

Not American but live in the US and I do use egg cups but I’d say are not so common here nor in many other countries. I do somehow think of them as a British thing (they’re common in Australia, too, but somehow the culture there is more British than in the US).

I have to say I haven't seen him in ages (I only follow her on here) but I nearly gasped when I saw that photo of him. He doesn't look well at all. Perhaps he's had depression or something? and that's why he's taken a year off work, or he's been unwell?
