This bugs me so much. I just don’t understand why people risk it, it’s just not worth it. My son knows to not even touch his scooter or bike without having his helmet on and checked by us. Even if he’s in the garden on it, he wears the helmet.

Honestly, all it takes is for one of them to hit a small stone and go over and they could just land badly and it would be a disaster. I would never forgive myself if this happened to my kid, helmets always!

How f*cking IRONIC is that she has posted all these posts about "SINGLE PARENTS" in lockdown and how fathers feel they are unable to cope looking after their child.... Hang on a minute lil babes, aren't you always wanting 'K' to be at home to look after the kids?? or waiting for him to get home as she 'cannot cope'.

I cannot stand it when 'instagrammers' or 'influencers' ram their political views on their page, her cousin em is terrible for it but cannot find a thread on her to rant on there!

I just hadnt thought of it. Id rarely see any other kid with a helmet, blind confidence in the kids 🤦🏻‍♀️ lesson definitely learned!!

There’s a big difference between “be kind” and asking members of the government, who exist to represent us the people, to be accountable for their actions. Dominic Cummings has played a major part in determining the governments strategy on Coronavirus and has literally broken his own rules, which other people have been arrested and fined for. I honestly think Lil is bleeping hopeless but this story needs to be shouted from the rooftops because if we let this slide how much more do we let the government get away with?

The guy drove 250 miles, showing symptoms of Coronavirus, to shack up with his parents on a weekend that was also, conveniently, his mother’s birthday. If he was well enough to drive 250 miles, he was well enough to look after his own child.
Nah. Fully agree with every bit of stick he gets. He isnt some softy. He is arrogant and clearly has nothing but contempt for others. He was scared his wife would be sick and didnt want to parent, most likely. Dude travelled across country whilst potentially infected to older (more vulnerable) people. Snark away on influencers but his actions cant be excused.
I am just pointing out the hypocrisy and double standards of it... I didn’t say what he did to as right or wrong. They can preach about being judged etc but ok to judge others.
So as he is a member of the government he isn’t allowed to feel vulnerable?

Oh I wasn’t commenting back to you, sorry if you thought that. It’s easy done, my son had a tiny scuttlebug and I never even thought of getting a helmet for it until I realised the speed he went and also reading a few awfully sad stories.

Oh thats ok, just putting my experience as a numpty forward 😂😣

I’m not sure narcissistic sociopaths feel vulnerable.

And if he’s so vulnerable he can use it as a get out of jail free card for his decision making he shouldn’t be at the most senior level of decision making in the country, designing policies and strategising how to stop people dying.

Also I do not mean to derail this thread with politics, I just feel that influencers are pretty useless and add So little to society. To actually see them raise political opinions and potentially bring awareness to a subject then I’m all for it. If it makes one person more aware of our incompetent government I’m all for it.

I’m more concerned about the fact her kids don’t wear helmets when they’re bombing it on their scooters.

When did you meet him? Do you know him well?

I don’t need to meet him to know that he needs to be held to account for his behaviour.

Caroline Flack was called an abuser and degraded publicly by the media.

Dominic Cummings has been questioned as to why he’s broken his own rules and has gotten away with it, publicly supported by the Prime Minister... it’s a bit different. If you can’t see that there’s no point in event continuing the conversation.

Let's face it she's more than bit blase with those kids. Leaving them downstairs on their own with a dog whilst she goes and bleeping wallows in the bath is a massive no no and rule number 1 of owning dog and having kids, you NEVER leave them alone together.
I use to work on a brain injury ward and you wouldn't wish that on your worse enemy. ALWAYS WEAR HELMETS! Not that you should have to tell anybody that these days!

I’m not saying what he did was right or wrong. Hounding and harassing him is wrong no matter what he did in regards to this. Have we learnt nothing from what happened to that poor girl?

I think you tell the parent of the 13 year old boy who died alone in hospital from the virus and his family not being able to attend his funeral that they should 'just be kind' to Dominic Cummings.

My team member who's father in law died after being on life support having to break the news to her young son who then was not able to attend his funeral or see his grandmother to grieve, tell her to 'just be kind' to him.

The families who have said their goodbyes over facetime. The families who haven't been able to have their partners or support during labour and birth. The families who are yet to meet their newest members. The vulnerable children and women who have faced months of abuse stuck at home. Ask them to 'just be kind' to Dominic Cummings flagrant disregard for the very guidelines he made.

I think you're barking up the wrong tree here. The general be kind message just does not extrapolate to this situation when there are so many lives that have been affected so negatively and for how many years to come? These are people who are supposed to lead by example and I'm sorry, this is a pretty piss poor example. So no, I won't lose sleep over whether someone who felt quite comfortable with sacrificing some of the most vulnerable in society as a strategy at the beginning of all of this, is at home feeling a little targeted tonight.
