Maybe it's just me but If my child (also age 2) wakes at 3.30am, we do not get up and go downstairs. I put him back in bed, maybe sit with him or even stick him in with me. But no chance are we getting up anytime before 5.30!!!

I don’t come from a separated parent home and don’t have children of my own, but she’s sowing the seeds for an overly co dependent relationship with Parker surely? She’s lonely and sad, which is fair enough, but she’s emotionally putting the burden onto him and setting him up for a lifetime of it to be ‘Parker and mummy against the world’…doesn’t sit well with me, nor will it for any of his partners when he grows up
