It shouldn’t be marked Ad because I sent them to my friend. It’s not a freebie to promote.

#gifted. Either way whether you sent to be nice or not they have a following and will of sent people your way no harshness here but influencers do have a responsibility to be transparent

Despite whatever your intentions were, it promoted your company, it should be marked as an Ad. The problem is, a lot of people/ influencers use the line of "my friend from "X" sent me this" and "support small businesses" etc. The waters have been muddied. Maybe to avoid any confusion, ask that they not share it publicly next time

It must be marked as gifted, if you are a business and they show you on their business social media accounts, according to ASA guidelines this MUST be declared as gifted. Otherwise any company could say they’re sending things to ‘friends’.
