Also, how will he he cope with the fact that Denmark, a woke Scandi haven, is looking at offshoring in Rwanda as well?

I saw that yesterday. Must admit I was very surprised. It's something they've been planning for about a year apparently. Nick Abbot won't be happy. He thinks all the Scandinavian countries are perfect.

I also can’t imagine the very experienced Theo Usherwood enjoys being introduced by JOB yelling “Summon the Usherwood!” He seems to have an ongoingly weird mocking sort of relationship with Theo, maybe because Theo is a proper journalist who knows much more than he does about politics? I’m convinced that on some level the wannabe proper journo inside Jobbie knows that what he does for a living, even if it pays for his lovely home in Chiswick, is utter tosh.

I don't like it when he takes the mick out of Theo for not giving his opinion. It's his job not to give an opinion.

Yes, and my impression of Theo is that he really is very professional about reporting without bias. I like him, he’s interesting and detailed and really knows his brief. And he has the voice of a nice bloke.

I feel exactly the same. I don't think he's been the same since he had Covid though. he seems to have reduced his hours considerably and Ben Kentish does a lot of what Theo used to do.

That is probably why Ben has been 'promoted' to Parliamentary Editor from Correspondent. Theo already being Political Editor.

The BBC, of course needs a lot of Parliamentary correspondents, Chris Mason who takes over from Laura Kuenssberg as Political Editor plus whenever there is a Westminster report, they seem to have a new reporter !

You are right Fenella. But taking the mic and bullying are essential parts of James O'Brien.

Don't forget race-baiting and trolling. James came out with a peach yesterday claiming that people who had a problem with Harry and Meghan only do so because of the colour of her skin. Yeah, nice one James, real classy. He really can't help the bile spilling-over sometimes.

Something appeared on my Youtube feed yesterday, 'The James O'Brien Show' ... from 7 years ago, looks like an ITV show ... Good lord. No wonder he's on the radio. haha. And to think he was slagging-off Robert Kilroy-Silk last week ... looking at that show, James' programme is the same format, but 100times worse.

Interesting that James has this as his favourite film. Does it bring bang memories of his school days and explain why he hates the posh boys so much? Did he get flushed at Ampleforth?

It lasted one series and showed that when James is not in his echo chamber he has no idea what to do. It was very bizarre.

I'm spinning 3 plates this morning
Absolute cringe opening monologue

Re- tv appearances, his Newsnight cameo's were as bad, sat stroking his unshaven face like a college professor.

It's at times like that I almost feel sorry for the poor little orphan. Sadly, he does nothing to help his own case by being such an unlikeable man. I was wondering if he would bring up his most hated Tory MP, who actually called for Boris to go yesterday ... "Brexit Hardman Steve Baker". Not a peep.

Yes it was called O'Brien or as some of us christened it O'Brian.

It was where James was routed by the chavs of daytime ITV.

New to the LBC Threads but need to vent about Shelagh Fogarty. Is there any hope of a show soon where she does NOT make the topic "Should Boris still be PM?" Or "How annoyed are you by Patygate?"
It is relentless and don't dare disagree with her, she will bully you and encourage the next callers to bully you too. Appalling.

The added irony of Nick Ferrari saying the other day that he feels it's time that Keir Starmer stops talking about Patygate and moves on. Any chance that he could encourage Fogarty to do the same?

Has she not read any other news articles lately?

She sure does seem to have a bee-in-her-bonnet about Boris that's fer sure. The O'Brien-Fogarty-Mair troika of Anti-Tory(Boris) sentiment does grate after a while. LOL. WE GET IT. Now, let's call an election and watch him get voted-in again! haha ... (crying on the inside).

Shelagh is from Liverpool, the citizens of which have never forgiven Boris for a 2004 leader in the Spectator magazine, when he was Editor. It suggested drunken fans were responsible for the Hillsborough disaster and described Liverpudlians as: ".....seeing themselves whenever possible as victims, and resent their victim status; yet at the same time they wallow in it."
