Haven't heard from @The Big One in here for a while, hope they are ok.

I was advised by two 'unreliable' people (!!) that you were asking after me! Sorry you have missed me. I have been busy running the Sangita Myska campaign to be the top presenter on LBC. It ain't going too well at the moment !!!

Seriously I have just been very busy of late, and have not had time to log in here on the 'other one' ! Have I missed anything interesting?

I hope normal service (from me) will be resumed later this week, or next.

I was sure you'd gained permanent residency at Brinsworth and were busy flitting
😬

I don't think Global would take much notice of a petition which I'd guess Is now being fuelled by. politically motivated people who have probably never even heard of LBC. There's been no mention of Ofcom and I doubt if advertisers would want to take sides.

No one knows who she is. No significant number of people listen to her. In short, no one gives a duck. Who is the next taxi off the rank? Is Dan Wootton available?

Perhaps they have strengthened the bromide in the tea there.......

Exactly Maggie. As I replied to Fenella earlier it is hard to boycott something if you did not listen in the first place.

As to the tweet below he forgot to put the word "Self" at the beginning.

I listened to Carol's show today, the little clips LBC use as advertising for her 3 hours make her out to be some sort of firebrand, pensions then faith schools, the topics today.
The word is dull.

Funny how all the people on the dark side and on twitter moaning about free speech being suppressed are the same lot who go on the GB News thread demanding it be closed down. No surprise that Colin is one of the chief hypocrites, or maybeit's just that he can't remember what he typed 10 minutes earlier.

The univeristy educated middle-classes can have free-speech, the plebs have to keep their traps shut. Basically. Wish they'd all fuckin' shut up tbh. As I get older I just want PEACE. :ROFLMAO:

And also responsible for targeting posters that disagreed with them until they were banned. ;)

Yes of course...He's tried and tested at this time.
Not sure if Iain would want to commit to another regular slot. He fits in a lot of TV and live appearances. He's usually away for most of August with his interviews at the Edinburgh Festival.

My money's on one of the younger presenters being promoted to a regular daytime slot; Henry Riley perhaps or Ben Kentish.

Lewis Goodall it is then.
Another one who, along with Maitlis and Sopel, left the BBC because they didn't like the impartiality rules. He's a bit of a leftie so let's hope he's somewhat more balanced than some of his like-minded weekend colleagues. I wonder if he'll keep his 10pm-1am show. I haven't been listening to it so I can't judge.

O'brien interviewed Humza Yousaf recently and felt that Humza was "a man on a mission" and an astute political operator
Failed transport minister
Failed justice minister
Failed health secretary
James O'brien - Serious journalist lol
---
Absolute fruitcake woman caller in a high voice, trying to blame everyone but Humza.
O'brien faded her out by reading a glowing review of his book which appeared in The Herald newspaper
😁

I wonder how long it will be before the Full Disclosure podcast has "technical difficulties" with the Humza Yousaf interview?

To be fair Jimbo was right about Humza being "a man on a mission" if that mission was to bring down the SNP government.

This is very embarrassing from someone on the dark side (George S) who has spent years as a Jimbo fanboy

  • O’Brien doing something on Scotland. I ain’t listening
